    Another Andy Gray Thread

    Not the usual though.

Is it me, or is he really softenning his stance towards us?

He's covered a couple of our games this season and I think he's actually sounding biased towards us. Most surprisingly, even when playing Everton.

It could be that he has had enough of Man Utd and Chelsea, and it could be that he sees us as the only other legitimate contenders, but I definitely detect a swing from his previous views.

He's still a complete cunt though.
    Oh I don't know.

It could be that we a starting to look the deal now and we are getting a bit of praise for it.

Today was the first game in recent memory during which he didn't mention zonal marking, even once ..... so maybe you have a point there
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
        Mine angry and defrauded young?

Only because we didn`t often need our defense today.

            Well,
in a roundabout way he did...
When Everton were defending from a corner, he was going on about how its the only way to defend................because, as you know, no man-to-man marking team has ever conceded a goal from a set-piece
This was right after he made a comment about how we defend in numbers..

He also failed to mention once how maybe Cahill's sending off was down to not just the reckless challenge, but maybe a combination of his dissent to the ref and the fact that he failed to reprimand Cahill only a few mins beforehand for his retaliation to Arbeloa..
Strange considering how he was frequently making comments about how Torres was worked up and could/should be booked for dissent............conveniently ignoring Arteta's card-waving antics etc etc..

He was probably to fixated on how many times he could mention "The Yak" to notice..
All in all, didn't notice any difference in his "commentary", and beyond a few lines on an internet forum, I couldn't give a monkey's..

He did indirectly mention it when Everton were defending a freekick. His quote was something like:

"The best option is to mark man for man, that way every one knows who they need to mark..."

That sounds like we're really clutching at straws there!
