    Ryan Babel

How is he supposed to develop when someone like Kuyt is keeping him out? He needs to be in the team ASAP especially when Kuyt is so poor.

I prefer Babel over Kuyt, although i must say Kuyt played great today.

You ask any team in the PL who they would rather defend against, they would say Kuyt.

    That says it all.

On the whole I would kinda agree but it seems a very strange time to raise the point when Dirk had a good game today. Very good in fact. Ryan will just have to bide his time.

Although I'm delighted with everything today, at the time I was surprised Babel didn't come on. He could've run riot, especially after they went down to 10.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Kuyt played great? You are easily pleased... he is technically one of the worst ever for LFC.

We played well as a team today you can't single out any one who should have been dropped, least alone Dirk.

Like it or not he is the player of choice for the right side. I'm a big fan of Babel and want to see him play, I'm sure he will get a fair share of games.

Babel is a striker playing mostly on the left wing while Kuyt is a striker playing mostly on the right wing.
Seems to me like Torres and Keane are keeping Babel out at the minute.
Reira is also keeping Babel out of his adopted left sided position.
Babel was also slightly injured and just back from the Olympics.

Seriously, all of your agenda`s are suddenly losing momentum.

Your time as LFC`s chief nick picker is up.Retire and fade into obscurity.

It`s getting near time for a vote on your future on this site.

At 2-0 up why play a player who struggles to play a huge amount of minutes in games/season.

Did you not see that his movement got Torres his first goal. I know you dont agree with Torres that Kuyt makes the game easy for him but surely watching that goal shows you what Torres and others go on about?

I don't think he is good enough for the Liverpool first team, a failed striker who hasn't scored in the league for nearly a year and not at Anfield since March 2007.

It's an awful record and I think Ryan Babel should be given a chance ahead of Rafa's Heskey. Babel needs game, a run of games to get him going and boost confidence.

You hav`nt got a clue.Take a look at games Kuyt has played in verses games won.
He`s been a great player in our match winning games.

Where did Kuyt finish in the MOTM awards last yr.

Babels fitness has always been a question.

kuyt didn't play well today, countless times his touch let him down and he played some awful short passes BUT i don't think babel has the energy to play right midfield in a 442. its clearly a position we're short in a 442 formation

                              lol

Seriously though Rashid, do you know how you come across with statements like the above? Actually, I think you do, which is a poor reflection on you, but anyway. Its not that you might or might not have a point, its how you make it. We convincingly outplayed Everton today, should and could've won by more goals, and Kuyt did a great job in what was, and is always, a very physical, frenetic match. I was slightly suprised Babel didn't get a run out in the second half, but Rafa got it right today and that's all that really matters. Babel's 21, has many years ahead of him, and is anything other than consistent yet, let alone physically capable of being so. He played a lot last season, and will do this coming one, He's "supposed" to develop at the pace his manager thinks is right for him, and at the moment I can;t see any evidence whatsoever that the way Rafa is treating Babel is anything other than good for his long-term development.

Anyone who knows anything about football can surely see that Kuyt makes sense to start in a Derby ahead of a young and very raw Babel?
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                              Mine angry and defrauded young?
