typical scum - even in a key historical moment for them they need to try and belittle our greater achievements.

I can deal with friendly banter but i think events such as munich, hysel, hillsborough were shared tragedies for everyone. there's a world of difference from singing john terry's ma likes scouse cock to this. and as for the players joining in - ****ing scum!

That is utterly shocking and sickening, but what makes it worse for me is the fact that Oliver Kay knew what they sung in Moscow but chose not to report it, yet he felt compelled to report the chants by a few morons at Goodison on Saturday.

Can't work that one out - I mean if you want to send a message than surely the shaming of the Man Utd players on such an historic occasion for their team would have sent a far stronger message than trying to shame our fans.

Exactly mate, kind of makes you think he's talking out of his arse doesn't it, or he's a Man U fan.

Coming from Northern Ireland and used to go to a lot of football matches over here during the troubles. The chants at our games used to be a hell of a lot closer to home due to the time scale of the events.
Most of the songs shouldnt be sung but if you ask me thats the normal about football fans. We sang songs at them and they sang songs at us. Some on here pretend we dont sing the Munich song, just like United fans pretend they sing the sick songs as well.
I dont get across to enough games and never been to a match against United, but it is just a myth that these songs get song by alot of fans like in any big match against the enemy?

I can understand the outrage here but perhaps the media feel that if they start reporting poor performances by the supporters we will be on a pretty bad street. Yes I know this was their team but it is a fans song and reporting it will only start a very ugly train of crap reporting every poor performance by supporter groups.

It's very, very disappointing to read that the Manc players sang this (if true) but I hope the media do not start down this path. It will only get uglier and probably result in ****ehouse supporters trying to out do each other in their ****eness.

But Kay wrote about what Liverpool fans said on Saturday so if he's taking that stance (or he's wanting us to believe he is) why not speak up about what the Man U players supposedly sang in Moscow until now after he's evidently had a lot of **** about it from Liverpool fans?

I think Kay is wrong to raise this. Supporters will do as they please and if the media highlight something they will probably respond with more of the same.

Kay has the right motives but if he thinks he is going to change anything by his article he is wrong. Bringing up the Manc's players singing that ****e is not going to help is it. It's very wrong, do not for one second misunderstand me here, but bringing it up now is going to do what exactly?

Increase the hate and vitriol between both clubs if anything. It certainly won't stop the ****e sang at games between the clubs.

I agree with all of that mate and it applies to what the Man U players may have sang in Munich and what our fans may have sang on Saturday.

The problem here is why did Kay feel the need to raise what happened on Saturday at his first available opportunity but not what happened in Moscow?

                                What I said.

And what I will be asking Kay in an email this evening. This is shocking hypocrisy that we should not let hime get away with. I feel very strongly about this and hope he has the balls to reply to me.
