    Quiet Reserved Satisfaction...

Nothing more nothing less, the start is the minimum we need to challenge, Mancs, Arse and Chelsea expect nothing less so lets just enjoy the moment but stay cool about it.

Those that killed her, were following the law.

Pure unadulterated illiteracy, plus a touch of senility.

It's the last day of September tomorrow, and this month we saw off the Mancs and the Bitters. That's a good month in my book.

Agreed but we have to continue like this, if our bad days end in draws (a la Stoke) and there are not to many of them, we will start to look like a team capable.

I'll probably get slated for saying this, but the kind of start we've had is what we SHOULD be doing. It's very good, but to go around singing and dancing about it, is small time and symptomatic of a club which gets a nosebleed when they get near the top.

Crowing about it at this early stage is everton-like. Quiet reserved satisfaction is spot on, we've done well but for a club like us, it's what we SHOULD be aiming for. We should just keep our heads down and get on with it - and come next April, if we're still up there, that will be the time to get excited and rave about it.

To be fair i dont think alot of Liverpool fans are getting ahead of themselves.

History would suggest you are correct, but we may as well enjoy it while we still can.

For all the fanfare we still only 6 clear of United who have a game in hand. Chelsea are at the top and Arsenal and Villa are in the mix. But as we usually finish better the fact we have started well as a huge positive.

Another positive is that we have yet to really click into gear, showing only fleeting signs of promise against United and Everton. So we are hardly punching above our weight at present. I can see why people are being positive. In all fairness we have looked just as good as any other team with a chance of winning it.

We may yet have a chance. We just have to hope we can hang on when one of our rivals throw in a ten game winning streak.

You got to enjoy the ups, had to endure so many downs that it is nice to be in the position we are. Would agree not to go overboard, but a wee bit of crowing should be allowed. I am sure the United fans will be crowing if they get above us again.

I'm pleased so far. We started shakily, but despite that, still ground out some wins. But I've been reassured by the improvements in our play that we've seen over the last few games. The win against the Mancs was great. But I thought to dominate and control the game against the bitters away at their dump in the way we did was outstanding. A real sign of progress.

But I'm not about to publically suggest that we'll win it. It makes me cringe when others talk us up that way. I'd rather we quietly stay in touch with the leaders until we're in the finishing straight. It's the old adage: You can't win the league in the first half of the season, but you can lose it.
No! I am NOT in denial!
