Rafa needed to rotate a few seasons ago because we had didn`t have the quality we have now.Now our 1 st 14 can do a job against most teams.back then he had to pick particular players to do particular jobs against a different team each week. Thus the need to rotate alot.
That's a good post sir. In my eyes Rafa can do no wrong.
I love him.

That makes sense...our first team back then didnt have the quality, so he 'needed' to rotate (eg, bring in reserves, who were even more inferior to the first team, which already didnt have the quality) in order to do a particular job.
At no point last season were we the bookies favourites to win the title. You can take that to the bank. That Manc WUM Speedy can ring every major bookmaker and ask for himself.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
I did check last year, like I do now, and we were never THE favourites. I'm sure we would have been up there on short odds, but the bookies aren't stupid. They just cover their backs.
Danny, the dudes a manc. Read his posts. Blatant WUM
Yeah, I know. Wasting my time really. The guys a dick. Surely he should be banned, but non doubt he'd change his name and be back as Keanooooooooo or some ****e!
That doesn't make sense though. If we didn't have the quality then why would you rotate? Surely, you'd play your best 11 and rotate less frequently
It makes loads of sense. Some players are better suited against more skillful teams while others are more suited against more physical teams. Some of our new players are just better than the replaced players in both scenarios.
Your just looking for a problem so I wouldn`t expect you to see the difference.

Clear as mud
You being 1 of the four eijitts on here that find a problem with every team performance.I don`t take your opinion very seriously.
Yes, they're facts - how much better evidence is there than facts?
You cant legislate for injuries or players coming back from injury, and there's always new signings in the summer.
I only counted non-enforced changes and the fact is, contrary to what fredo so emphatically claimed, we have rotated FAR less this campaign than we did last year. Seems to be helping.
Not arguing because I do believe that Rafa is rotating less, of his own volition, and I suspect this is because he has more confidence in his overall squad...
However one additional point this year is that he didn't have the luxury of all his squad available at the beginning of the season, what with Euro08 and Olympics players, so maybe if they had all been available, Rafa might have continued to rotate 5 players. (We will never know )

Seriously Johnny. What you said just doesn't make sense. Why would he have to rotate because he didn't have enough quality? Surely if you haven't got enough quality in reserve you need to play your best players, why would you rotate in mediocre ones?
Not having a pop at him, but rotating your main match winners, which was done last season, when you don't have adequate replacements in reserve costs you points and a title challenge

Rotation is done because players can't perform to their best level at all times and the best players need to be protected from time to time. It's simple; now Rafa knows that he can play his best players most of the time because he knows if something happens to them he'll be able to count on other players to do the job, because the squad is much better.
Last year it was a case of looking at forthcoming fixtures and nit picking games where we could 'rest' some players and play them in the 'more' important games.
In any case, rotation brings it's risks ... same for 'not rotating' your players. Both have disadvantages but rotation is a must in this day and age.
