I remember someone saying he was a pretty good player. Can only be good news for us and bad news for them.

Totally off topic but....... how bad were both Porto and Aalborg last night?!?! Truely woeful. Porto looked miles from their best and Aalborg must surely be the weakest team to ever appear in the Champions League.

The same could have been said for Besiktas last year. The key is to taking them seriously and getting the early advantage to destroy any confidence and bring on the inferiority complex that will follow.

PSV I am confident would crumble the same way if we start well. Do that and we will coast through and then it comes down to how many goals our boys want. If we start like we can't be bothered the opposition grow in confidence with every passing minute and start to fancy their chances of getting something out the game.

It's similar to alot of games the big boys play, but against teams as poor as the ones you mention it becomes very noticable. The biggest problem for teams in poor leagues is that after the successfull season comes the inevitable fire sale of there best players. For some teams the pillaging of their best players is sometimes to much and they can capitulate.

From what i have seen, Afellay is great prospect, similar to Babel but rated more highly.

Just out of interest where did the news come from that Afellay is out?

Doesnt seem to mention any injury in any of the pre-match stuff I have read so far.

Sky Sports News, their reporter at the ground said so.

But their cause will not be helped following the news that Holland midfielder Ibrahim Afellay remains sidelined with a bruised toe.

I'm sure he is a great prospect and will turn out a good player, but MY GOD that is some horrible defending and goalkeeping
