I know where you are coming from, but we have 20m+ Torres, 20m Keane, 10m+ Kuyt and 10m+ Babel as well as youngsters Ngog, Nemeth, Pacheco. Of course people will point to Kuyt's scoring record and Babel being used as left mid, but buying another expensive striker would slam the door on opportunities for Nemeth ... and I think we want to get him involved ASAP.

We're struggling as it is to give players games. Let's see how N'gog and the returning Nemeth do in the reserves before splashing the cash. Besides with the way we play I think Babel would suit us better up top than the slow Santa Cruz. We don't exactly bomabard the box with crosses, which RSC thrives on.

What's the deal with N'gog I envisaged him being more involved, but he's hardly been on the bench

Its a quality bench, how many teams in Europe wouldnt put Dossena, Agger, Mascherano, Babel and Benayoun straight into their team?

Dont get crosses into the box? Dossena puts plenty in, Riera has put a few in as well. We dont deliver as many on the right side though.

Sorry, but buying him would need a different approach to the game. Best to swap like for like. Speed for speed.

And players are never proven until they play. They may be no Owen or Fowler, but we'll never know until they play. I think they are acting as suitable back up. It's not like they're first choice.
