Robbie Keane: Liverpool fans can get used to seeing my goal celebrations

Robbie Keane insisted last night that Anfield will be treated to many more displays of his famous goal celebration.

The Liverpool striker unveiled his back flip for the first time in front of the Kop after finally opening his account with a goal against PSV Eindhoven.

Keane has warned that the celebration, which is completed with a round of 'pistol fire' at the fans, will only be used after special goals - but he is confident there will be plenty of them.

"I've dreamt of doing that celebration as a Liverpool player since I was a kid. I haven't done the celebration in a while," a delighted Keane said afterwards.

"At Spurs I only did it on special occasions and this was a special occasion for me with Liverpool, scoring in an important game. I can put it back in the box now.

"To score my first goal for the team I supported as a kid and to get a standing ovation when I came off, it was a great moment. It's nice to get the first goal out of the way. The fans have been incredible and I hope I've paid them back a bit - but there's still a long way to go and hopefully a lot more goals to come."

Keane believes he can now settle down to a career at Anfield that will see his partnership with Fernando Torres flourish.
