LFC v PSV - Post match thread

    Job done.

But I will highlight the fact that Keane had one shot all game, which he scored. So we still need to do some work on the training ground.

We were also very sloppy, but I guess that was just down to the opposition.
    Forwards.......

Handy win. Great achievement for Gerrard as a midfielder and good for Keane to get off the mark. Torres deserved a goal and it's a pity he did not get one.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful
      everyone wants to know

Didn't have the best of matches our Fernando. Still to hit top form I think.

Comfortable win, totally in control and Torres hopefully hasnt got injured.

              Nice.

beat a fairly poor team without killing ourselves. some lovely passing moves that generally came to nothing but were still reasons for hope for the more football purist fan. SG is a legend and was man of the match. robert david ( it would be easy to say that that's what happens when a player is in his natural position but it was torres who made it from wide right so ...)

Nice and easy that, PSV are really really poor, we never had to step out of first gear at all.

Great to see Keane off the mark (lovely ball that by ElNino), Gerrard's 100th from a cracking strike, and Kuyt continue his European goal scoring (now lets have a few in the league from you Dirk). Overall perfectly satisfactory, wasn't the best of games but it didn't need to be. This group's looking like reasonably plain sailing for us and Athletico now.

It's weird how the 4th seeded side in our group are better than the 2nd and 3rd seeds put together.

                    Good work Uefa...

                      Don`t start anymore threads please.

We won 3-1 on a cold wet windy night when Psv gave us no fecking problem.
                      Kuyt scored another deserved goal.
                      Keane got his first.
                      Gerrard scored his 100 th.

And the best you can do is "We were also very sloppy".

Job done on a miserable night. The weather was a big factor in many passes being overhit etc. We've hardly broke a sweat and rolled them 3-1.

Even sweeter was the fact that the chavs drew . Nothing to do with our group I know but I do get a perverse satisfaction when they fail at any level

Quiet Reserved Satisfaction, nothing more, nothing less, job done. Bring on City for much of the same, a sweet 2-0 win keeps us on target.

think he had his trainers on instead of his boots, slipping all over the place

                              made up for Robbie Keane

even more so for Stevie and glad it was a goal worthy on the occasion for him, there's not many taps ins out of his 100 is there !!
