    We've got the best midfield in the world, Xabi Alonso, xxxx, Gerrard and Mascherano..

    Any chance of revamping this song to life again? Too good to forget about?
    Lucas hasn't proved himself yet. Is Riera a winger? I guess at a push we could slot Albert Riera in there???

                        It's only a song FFS. And it refered to the best central midfield in the world, and at the time the song came about, in those 4 players we had the strongest choice of 4 around.

                        No team had more strength in depth in that position in world football. Still you can have the greatest two centre midfielders on the planet, with poor quality elsewhere you'll get found out.
