I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?
The guy is class on the pitch and the ultimate professional off it. Never came out and had a moan even when he was being touted around (for whatever reason....that's not a dig at Rafa before anyone starts).
The few posters on here who wanted him to stay ahead of getting Barry are starting to be vindicated in their views.
Vindicated? Err ... not. I still think Xabi retains the ball more than Xabi and would be an improvement on him, that's why Rafa wanted to buy him.
Great that Xabi has found his form this season playing like we want him to play. It makes the non signing of Barry very marginal. Hope he keeps it up. I like the man.

Am I the only one that doesn't understand that?
Barry is nowhere near the class of Xabi I'm afraid. After being one of his biggest critics in the summer, I don't expect you to hold any other view than you do.
By the way, great start by us this season. Rafa is proving me wrong so far and I'm going to be a happy man if I have to hold my hands up at the end of the season and say I was wrong about him .

See....not hard is it?
Sorry that would be Barry retains the ball better than Xabi. Not hard is it?
I like Xabi Alonso. He's a great player but he's been ****e last season and needed a kick up the backside. It seems Rafa has done the trick once again. See?

Haha now you're crediting Rafa with Xabi's return to form. Maybe down to the fact that he had broken his foot twice in the season you refer to
You were wrong, I know you find it difficult to admit. Form is temporary...class is forever
Despite saturdays performance i feel the best pairing is Masch & Alonso with stevie behind torres or wide right. Mascherano is a fantastic player and the number of dodgy performances he has had for us have been very few. Great position to be in.
he was lucky not to have his leg broke yesterday that was a disaster tackle
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Three red cards have been issued due to tackles on Xabi in the Prem this year. Must have quicker feet than it appears.
"My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. I think the club loves me and I feel the same, no matter what the situation." - Pepe Reina, Nov '09.
he must be a tough ****er now cos that looked sore

thought it was just a foul and not as malicious as it was - can say what he likes but it was high and over the ball
