Feel sorry for Martin but we have Agger who is a class act and he will come in and do a job but i am a bit worried that he will be coming in to the Chelsea game. Hope he is ready. Atleast with Carra not playing for england he and agger can work on their partnership (If agger is not on duty).

But Chelsea have picked up injuries to Cole and Anelka today so hopefully they will miss the pool game.

Absolutely gutted for Skrtel but it is reassuring that we have someone of the calibre of Agger as back-up. Hope this does not cause too much instability at the back because up until today our back 5 have been awesome.

Early news is that he's twisted his knee - don't know what damage there is though obviously until they do scans, no damage to his ankle

Watching the reserves, i don't think any of the centre backs are quite ready to step into the first team yet. Shame, had high hope for San Jose, but he seems to have stagnated a bit..good player, but is he Liverpool quality yet?
