I tore posterior cruciate ligament playing footie- I was told by the specialist that a person can get by without needing an operation, but if I wanted it sorted rehab would be around 6 months

Depending on his injury its going to be out for anything from6 weeks for a minor strain to 9 months for a complete rupture. He probably was fine walking onto a bus but you need your cruciates to turn so that doesn't mean anything, most people do walk fine without crutches and can even jog lightly. Lets see what the specialists say tomorrow, good luck Skittles its not a nice injury.

I twisted my knee and it has now recovered but it hurt like ****. It's taken a year but that's without professional fulltime healthcare.

                All the best Skittles.

I can't see him walking onto a bus tbh.

So we are all sharing now? Ok, I once fell over and started bleeding, and once I had a splinter, hurt like hell when my mum removed it!

Come on, this is Martin we're talking about, no more than two weeks I reckon.

I can really sympathise with Skrtel. I once did my knee, got a really bad graze when I fell off my bike. It scabbed over after a couple of days but it kept cracking when I climbed the stairs or tried to ride me bike etc. Tough times, even for a "big brave boy".

I can, he just puts one foot in front of the other and goes for it!! I'm awaiting a scan on a suspected damaged cruciate - my physio can't it could have completely gone but they won't know till the scan. I walked with a limp straight after the injury, bet he was limping but he can easily walk onto a bus. It will give way from time to time, but twisting the knee will be painful.

Man, was just looking at the picture of Skrtel on the BBC website, gutted I am for him....gutted.
