Don't know I don't play pro football, but I'm sure it's 2 hours Rafa would rather have had preparing his team. It's not just that one in question, it's been that way for at least 3 Saturday fixtures were the players have had a wednesday game and then an early saturday kick off. It's unfair in the balance of early kick offs we've had in comparrison to other sides.
It may not seem like it but those extra 2 hours on a Saturday can make a difference. The team always has a pre-match meal when we play Saturday/ Sunday afternoon and evening kick offs so that the backroom staff can fill the players up with the right sort of foods that help increase energy etc... I can't see what time the players would have to sit down and eat pasta on a Saturday morning before a 12.45 kick off where as it could be easily fitted in for a 3P.M. kick off.

Didn't Bolton eat then?
Play the Man of the Match game in the sticky thread!
Yeah, that's ridiculous. It just seems like every one of our fixtures has been a 12.45 kick off. It's a disgrace that after internationals and midweek European games we've gad to play early Saturday games while the others have been playing on Sundays etc. Our first Saturday 3pm Kick off of the season - OCtober 14th, 2 months in to the season. Pathetic
One slight problem with this new paranoid fad of blaming our results on early kick offs......when we have an early start - so does the opposition!! So what if some teams get an extra days rest?!? it's still no excuse for some of our peformances so far. Some fans
Difference is the opposition haven't always played midweek - Bolton , Everton for example.
In the Chelsea game I would say our energy levels were at least a match for the opposition.
Also, the early start isn't as problematic for the home team as they don't have to travel - obviously not an excuse for Everton game but difference between leaving at 10 am and 8am would be massive.
