don't think he hates anyone, it's just that when clubs go over their heads with loans it might hurt them(esspecially in this financial climate) plus the fact that some other clubs(german, french(i think)) can't have loans because of legislation in their respective countries, and therefore can't compete with those who can get loans in the transfer market! think he's against european club football being elitist, and is in favour of smaller clubs(who are run debt free) to be able to compete with the big boys, and there's nothing wrong with that!

As for Kuyt lets give the guy a break, he's in the starting 11 of a Liverpool team that have got off to their best ever Premiership start. Early days I know, but if it ain't broke don't fix it. As for you wish list lets get Messi as well as Aguero, Buffon as back up for Pepe and hey I hear Tevez might be looking fo a new club too.

Why do so many people have a problem with Dossena? He’s shown he’s decent going forward and in the 7 games he’s started we’ve only conceded 2 goals.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Agree with what a lot of what you're saying but I genuinely think that he's ever forgiven us for Heysel. He always seems to have a pop at us. TBH he was there that day so can understand it if he does hate us, but he should be more professional about it. Can't remember the details but he was saying stuff about us after Athens too.

Not to knock a few people of their high horses this was aimed at pure fantasy which was what all the IF's and BUT's where about

Us having that sort of money for January is never going to happen.. I was simply bored and just tried to spark some life into this place

                Lets say that..

We are not affected too seriously by the credit crunch as everybody thinks, we are in a good looking position to push of for a genuine title challenge.

Also lets say that our owners either sell up or take note of out performance and decide that a little extra cash may help to push us over the finish line.

Who would you like to bring in and sell ?

                Mine would be-

                Out:

                Jermaine Pennant
                Charles Itandje
                Yossi Benayoun

                In:
                Gutierrez
                Aguero
                Marcelo

I would follow that up with the sale of either Dossena if not improved or Aurellio in the summer. I would also consider bids for Lucas and Kuyt, although it would take a nice bid to lure Kuyt away.
There's a lot of talent out there surplus to requirements:
                How about...

OUT: Torres, Gerrard, Mascherano, Reina and Babel
IN: Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Robbie Savage, Dean Windass and Alan Stubbs

Potentially we could replace RAFA with Michel Platini???

I think in principle that is close to correct. Might be that Polish lad rather than Valencia who comes in but I would expect those outs and a winger to come in.

Most of our debt is off balance sheet though. Remember how Parry and Moores ensured only 56m was put on the club and the rest against the holding company.

So thank Parry and Moores that this particular issue will not likely affect us.

I think Platini has a typical socialist mindset. He thinks the wealth of football should be shared equitably and that the role of football is more than just financial.

The EPL is unfortunately the league which most skews against that end-state hence it looks like he is beating up on us. But I think to be fair he is striving for the greater good (assuming you buy into his mindset).

Platini's just looking for an excuse to screw over the English clubs especially Liverpool. He HATES us and English football. The guy's a first class racist and total prick.....as for Blatter

Do you mean Marcelo at Real Madrid? the Left back? He is ****, Madrid almost sold him in the summer but they decided to give him one more year as he's only young and they were focused on Ronaldo, I wouldn't want him in my team.

The rumours about Jakub Blaszczykowski from Borussia Dortmund don't seem to be going away, I think there is a good chance we'll sign him. He's a right winger.

Think we will have a very quiet January, no ins and maybe a couple of outs.

Itandje and Pennant as mentioned very likely to leave.
