Fernando Torres - The Worlds First 1 Billion Player?

I am sure, like you, you were ticked off to read the articles in todays Mirror about Citeh making noises about offering Torres £200,000 a week - which they have been quick to deny totally (which I think is b0ll0cks!).

I am sure they'd have taken note of how Torres helped to take their side apart. But as we all know Liverpool is not a one man side - although there are critics out there who'd say we used to be and are now a two man team - which is rubbish.

(Reina kept us in the game against Standard, Masch was all over the place against Man U, as was Kuyt who works like a demon - so all the Torres & Gerrard talk about LFC being a two man side is rubbish... and I haven't even mentioned Carra or Riera & Babel!!)

Anyway back to my point - I think Torres is priceless. Even more so than Ronaldo down the road. The two are different players. But for being lethal in the box I'd have to go with Torres.

Yes I am biased, but I honestly think there is no one out the who can touch him. So I wouldn't be surprised if there was a 1 Billion pound clause in his contract. He certainly would be missed if we sold him.. and they'd be an outrage....

Dont think he'd leave LFC for another EPL side... I think its us or Atletico he'd play for....

Yes in these times of credit crunch and financial ruin, it would be money well spent.
