Hitting the post against Spurs ****ed him up I think. he must be thinking, 'what the **** have I got to do?'. Once he gets a goal, even if it bounces off his plums into the net,he'll be good again.

Yeah I agree gloveOriginally posted by The GloveHitting the post against Spurs ****ed him up I think. he must be thinking, 'what the **** have I got to do?'. Once he gets a goal, even if it bounces off his plums into the net,he'll be good again.
It does underline one thing though, how desperate he is to do well for LFC. IMO it's great to see players with the abilty and tallent of both Kuyt and Bellamy so desperate to do well for the club.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

He may well start to improve after he bags a goal but the purpose of LFC isn't to keep craig bellamy happy. It's to field a team most likely to win. In my opinion, that means giving Robbie 10 games to see how well he does in comparison. Surely the best bet at this stage would be to put Fowler in the first team and Bellamy can play the league cup games and stand in when needed. If he gets a few goals against lesser teams then he can bring that confidence into the first team when needed.

You want to drive Bellamy out of the club, thats exactly the way to do it.Originally posted by carheexHe may well start to improve after he bags a goal but the purpose of LFC isn't to keep craig bellamy happy. Ignore me, I was drunk at 1am when I posted this (was off work yesterday!) Once I remembered I’d posted something I kept off the t’internet in fear at what I’d posted!Originally posted by bazza76Bellamy is not a bad player, wasnt too long ago based on ability, people thought 6m was a steal for him, all of a sudden after a barren spot infornt of goal he is the worst player ever?. I just cant believe this. Bellamy is a very good player, we seen that at Blackburn last season, was a nightmare to defend against. Sometimes your first goal for a club can be the hardest one to get, when he gets his first in the league im sure the rest will come more frequently.
I don’t hate any Liverpool players – certainly not Bellamy – but took umbrage at the quotation from Rafa. Why not just tell the truth – Bellamy is more in his future plans than Fowler? That’s what I was trying to say! I doubt that Robbie will look at that quote and be filled with optimism, especially whenever he got a chance last season he usually took it.
To say that Fowler is being kept out of the team due to others proficiency in front of goal is rubbish. I’m willing Bellamy more than anyone to hit the onion bag but it’s not happening at the moment unfortunately. At least the manager is giving him the confidence by sticking by him. The fact that Fowler didn’t even make the seven on the bench midweek says it all really.HOT CANCER.

Christ!
Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy will skipper Wales in their Euro 2008 qualifiers with Slovakia and Cyprus, despite a court appearance next week.
Bellamy faces Cardiff magistrates on assault charges on Tuesday in a trial expected to last for three days.
The front man takes over from Ryan Giggs, whose hamstring injury keeps him out against Slovakia on Saturday and probably Cyprus four days later.
West Ham's James Collins is out of both fixtures with a groin tear.
Wales manager John Toshack has called up MK Dons defender Craig Morgan, Yeovil winger Arron Davies and Wrexham attacking midfielder Chris Llewellyn.
"I've a feeling Giggs will start full-time training 48 hours before the Cyprus game," Toshack told BBC Sport Wales.
"That would probably mean he would miss out, but we'll wait and see."
Giggs has not played since injuring his hamstring in Manchester United's Champions League win over Celtic on 13 September.
He will have a scan in midweek which will go a long way to determine whether he will be available for the must-win game with Cyprus.
West Ham defender Collins picked up his injury in Thursday's Uefa Cup loss in Palermo. He will be out for two weeks.
His withdrawal means Wales have lost three of the four defenders who played in the opening Group D defeat in the Czech Republic.
Mark Delaney (knee) and Sam Ricketts (fractured cheekbone) were known absentees last week.
But despite the defensive crisis, there is no likelihood Toshack will attempt to persuade Coventry centre back Robert Page to reverse his decision to end his international career.
Crystal Palace midfielder Carl Fletcher is another injury worry.
He will remain at his club for intense training and treatment on his ankle injury before hopefully linking with the squad in midweek.
Toshack has decided against recalling John Hartson after he came out of international retirement because of the West Brom striker's injury worries and lack of recent match action.
There were some positives for Toshack on Sunday at least as goalkeeper Jason Brown came off the bench to save a penalty on his debut in Blackburn's win over Wigan.
And Robert Earnshaw scored his seventh league goal of the season in Norwich's 4-1 home defeat to Burnley.
Jason Koumas was recalled to the squad last week after missing the Czech Republic match because of a lack of fitness.
But the midfielder looks back to full fitness after he started his third successive match for West Brom on Saturday, and could force his way into the side.
Toshack, though, will be concerned over the lack of action for Simon Davies.
The midfielder played 12 minutes as a substitute for Everton on Saturday, taking his game-time total this season to just 175 minutes. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Is right. I hoped we wouldn't sign him and wasn't excited by the prospect. Nor did I think it "a steal".Originally posted by ShaggyAlonsoThere's no blame being apportioned...it's obviously a collective effort. Yes he could and probably will get a lot better, yes he needs time to settle and no I don't think anyone, not one single LFC fan, hopes to be able to say 'I told you so'.
But once he was signed, rather than waiting in hope for the "told you so" moment I started grasping at straws. Maybe he'll do this, maybe he'll do that, maybe he can do for Robbie what he did for Shearer and all that stuff.
I did the same with Cisse who I didn't want us to sign. And I did it (am doing it still to an extent) with Pennant too.
I don't think anybody wants a LFC signing to fail no matter how much we were arguing that he's the wrong signing.
We'd rather get it wrong and have a world beater on our hands. Well I know I would anyhow. I'm sure everyone else is the same.

Where did I say that?Originally posted by carheexso what you're saying is, LFC is all about Bellamy, Bellamy, Bellamy and we should bend over backwards to keep him happy, regardless of results and the rest of the squad that want/deserve to play? There was me thinking that no player was bigger than the club....
All I was saying is how I think your methods would drive Bellamy out of the club

i kind of see your point, but it's told only from Bellamy's point of view.
shouldn't all players be treated the same? we've got 2 other options (fowler and crouch) who aren't getting much action at the minute. they've done as much, if not more, to justify a place in the starting XI. is it OK that they get benched or played in lesser games? is forcing them out of the club ok, as long as bellamy's happy?
i really don't understand your logic in keeping the team strong and squad happy. enlighten me...
