Being a realist/optimist I always look for the positives and let's face it we have a lot going for us. Our team are doing well and long may it continue.
It seems that so called "people in the know" or "insiders" either have some concrete information or are just a bunch of manic depressives........
What do you make of this? Apparently we have to sell to stay afloat -according to Shanks Legend - read from top and scroll down?

ShanksLegend is a fake insider who specializes in wummery, ignore him. He has claimed that DIC are about to buy us on about 5 different occasions and been wrong every single time. He provides no information about his sources and no facts about what's happening. Just alludes to information that he has, that he can't share "because he'll get in trouble".

Most of the other posts on that thread seem to be scaremongering, using #'s for interest payments etc that exceed what I've seen in reliable sources (i.e. the post), I guess just to sensationalize.

I believe you will see transfer spending drying up, before we get to the point where we need to offload players (which I don't think will ever happen) and I don't see that that has happened.

We'll maybe run at a loss for a few years, but I can't see anymore than that. Remember our current market value is at least 100m more than the Americans paid for us (based on what DIC offered), so they have equity in their investment (once the credit markets free up), that acts as a further buffer against us going belly-up.

Of course it is possible, but I honestly can't see it happening. Everyone is in danger in the current financial market and unfortunatly we don't have the strongest owners.

However we do have to many assests within the club, and I can't see how our two current owners would be able to walk the line to an LFC bankrupcy, they would sell before that happened. Even if the banks took over, they would rather sell the club than the individual assets.

And btw. I believe shankslegend is a hot airballon - saying the obvious without ever giving any details, and claiming it as insider info.

Cant see us going bankrupt and would hope that someone out there would be willing to buy Liverpool if it started going that way. If we miss out on Champs League money for a couple of seasons we could get into a bad state of affairs if those clowns dont sell up.

Agree with you Shaggy, what some so called supporters do to attract attention. He's not the only one on RAWK, apparently the mod's have sacked a few recently One guy Phoenix or someone had inside knowledge about potential takeovers but nothing to back it up.
