    Kuyt's interview

    From Sky:

He said: "Fernando is very important for us and it was a big blow that he wasn't on the pitch. But I tried to do my job when the boss put me up front, I just intended on scoring goals for the team.

"It does not concern me what position I play, I have enjoyed being played on the right, and I just want to be important for the team.

"I just hope Fernando is back quickly, but whenever the boss wants me up front, I will be ready.

"I do not think of where I play when Fernando is back. I feel I have been important on the right, scoring goals and with a few assists.

"The most joy for me is that we are winning more games and are at the top of the table."
Learn a little humility, would you?

Dirky is the definition of a "glue guy"
"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Anyone knocking Dirky Boy after that performance Saturday (and not that performance alone might I add) is most definitely a WUM.

As for the interview well it sums up everything you would like to hear from a dedicated professional. Make no mistake, Kuyt has the makings of becoming an LFC legend.

Legend. He had a bad few months last season but most of us got behind him and gave him the backing he needed. He has been ace since around March time, champions league specialist and now doing the business in the league

He has been ace for around as long as our undefeated run has gone hasn't he? Liverpool are unbeaten I think since february against United. Shows how important he his.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Im not Kuyts biggest fan but you cant help but like the guy, he puts in the same amount of effort no matter who we play and is a real team player.I remember towards the end of the wigan game he got into the box and had a chance to shoot for his hat trick but instead tried to set up keane.

I also heard he gives half if his wages to charity so he sounds like a top bloke off the pitch aswell, Keep it up Dirk.

I wish Gerrard had his attitude to being player 'out of position' sometimes.

Sorry mate, I don't really understand that comment. Is that tongue in cheek, because I honestly can't think of a more self-less, honest and humble player in our squad than Dirk?

Had a difficult year last year (second season syndrome?), but is right in form at the moment.

                          Top stuff.

Kuyt really is a top bloke.

Good to see him doing the business on the pitch as well.

Long may this purple patch continue.

I think he was affected by his fathers death more than anything else, in the first half of last season, but when he got over that(not sure if u ever completely get over something like that) he started playing some good football!
