Well he did, he might now be able to speculate more considering the quality of the squad (especially the 1st 15).
whilst i'm in general agreement with all of that i think of lucas and babel. babel in particular goes against the notion of spending big money on proven talent.

I think so (in the same way Anderson did for United) as he was clearly rated as a truly world class young talent and came from a big country (Argentina) as opposed to the likes of Gonzalez who have had real trouble.

We had new owners then. Rafa had limited money in '06, infact it appears David Moores lent money to the club to buy Kuyt.

Can't see Moorey lending 14M for an unproven kid to be honest.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

but babel was unproven for 11 million give or take?

anyway i think the opportunity of seeing aguero in a liverpool shirt is gone. shame really, think he would have been our ronaldo and rooney rolled into one

'06 (when aguero was available) we got Kuyt on the back of a loan from Moore's

'07 we had new owners under pressure to show their ambition.

Can't spell it out anymore than that.

I wanted Aguero 2 years ago, still do, but it is never as easy as we think it is.

So that leaves us with one option - sack Parry!!!
                  That's no excuse at all.
