Essien could also be classed as a complete player and one who could fill in most roles, he has been poor when played at centre back by the chavs but all other positions he;s been a class act
They've won the league, bigger stars than Dallas, they've got more silver than Buckhingham Palace, no one knows quite what to expect, when the Red Machine's in full effect!

If he's poor in an area then he's not really an all rounder!

Of current players there is absolutely no contest - Stevie by a mile.

I remember him playing left-back at Citeh a few years back and doing a more than tidy job. He is also England's best right-back and has all the attributes to play centre-half later in his career IMO.

Jose Luis Chilavert of Paraguay. We nearly signed him in the late 90s. He was an absolute legend.

Am struggling to think of that many players that could play a number of positions, not the greatest but the only other person I can think of that's played a number of positions for a premiership club is Emile Heskey plays as a striker, played as a left and right winger under Houllier, and played centre back for a half (and was great) the day Wigan beat Sheff Utd to stay up
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
