    Liverpool vs Chavs 1996

    Watching a rerun of that game on LFCTV.

    Its amazing how much more physical and robust the game was even though thats only 12 years ago.

    Also why so many balloons on the pitch? Post Euro 96 new fandom?

      is this the one where paddy berger hit a hatrick? zola scored a bit of a funny goal (kinda offside everyone stops but zola and rounds DJ?)

        I remember watching the lpool united match from 1993 a few months ago on lfc tv when we came from 3 down to draw 3-3(razor got the equaliser). I was blown away by how physical the match was for the full 90 mins. Tackles everywhere, players people the boot in, kicks, wrestling...it was ****ing brilliant. It was all done fairly though and every player gave it there all.

          No that was the year after. This was the one where we were 5-0 up before giving them a consolation.

          But I remember that game well, we booed the ref for about 10 minutes afterwards.
