Club about to be sold??

According to an article in the times Merrill Lynch have been engaged to find a buyer for Liverpool, the artcile states auiditors looked at the books last week with a view to finding a buyer. Have a read:-

Although the Liverpool owners denied yesterday that Merrill Lynch has been engaged, The Times understands that auditors looked at Liverpool's books last week with a view to finding a buyer. So far, the search appears to be unsuccessful.

Sheikh Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, has maintained a longstanding interest in acquiring Liverpool but has balked at the price tag set by the American pair, which is upwards of £550 million.

An offer from Dubai of £500million has been on the table for many months, but there has been minimal contact between the Sheikh's representative, Amanda Staveley, and the American camp over the past few months.

The difference between us is they want a quick buck and I recognise that you can't put a price on our club

A mate told me someone from the times was talksport and they said the club will be sold with 8 weeks.

I just hope whoever buys us meets the following criteria:-

1) They have the cash to build the new stadium and invest in the team without taking on huge loans

2) They know something about football and are here for the long term

3) They sack Rick Parry

4) They follow the "tradional" Liverpool model to run the club by never talking to the press

5) They haven't been linked with a host of other clubs already

6) They give Rafa his new contract

7) They sort out the mess between Rafa and the academy

I heard it this morning too, it was Tony Evans they spoke to he is the one that wrote the article i believe, he also said that due to the fixtures this weekend it is the only time he wants Everton to win a game
