Especially because the way we conceded I don't know what the defence was upto. Carragher didn't clear it and Arbeloa was god knows where.

If Benayoun's goal was allowed regardless of if that fat **** Maniche's goal was allowed or not this would have been a different story.

Really disappointed, I hope we **** them over big time and make a point of embarrassing them at Anfield.
I agree, if we'd played half decent this would have been a walk over. BTW I don't blame Arbeloa for the goal, he had moved inside to cover the goal, Yossi didn't track Simao and that wasn't the first time it happened.

It's great but doesn't hide the fact that we really should be able to play better than that. Our passing has been sloppy and we're giving away too many goals. I love it, but a few of those players need a kick up the ass.

                We are.

Athletico are top on goal difference.

                  Top.

Both us and Atletico are level on 7 points, but it's done on head to head and we scored an away goal....

EDIT: Or is it Goal Difference now??

That's a kop-out. Some call it as they see it. It's great, I'm either RCDNW or never happy. Sheessh, maybe its a genuine analysis.

Chesterfield winger Jamie Ward has revealed he is currently in talks with the club's hierachy over a new contract at Saltergate. The 22-year-old has scored 20 goals in 54 league appearances for the Spireites since arriving from Torquay at the start of last season.

His contract is set to expire in the summer, but Ward is hopeful of extending his stay with the club.

He told the Professional Footballers Association's official website: "I'm in the last year of my contract and we're already talking about a new one.

"I'm not going to say too much about it yet because it has to be right.

"But the fans expect a lot of me every week because I am a player the club signed and paid money for."

We'll get him in January then.

Seeing this team has been played off the park by their last games against big opposition losing 6-0 to Barca and 2-1 which should've been more like 5-1 to Madrid. At the end of last season got spanked 3-1 to a struggling Valencia too. Atleti is a team which a team with quality should be beating comfortably especially when looking a the teamsheet and the names they left out. No Banega, Heitinga, Ulfajlusi, Kuhn only for a half, Raul Garcia only at the end etc.

Just because everyone isn't delighted by mediocrity and below par performances doesn't make us unhappy people.

You not happy with that result away to Atletico then?

Although he's not, as that report suggest, a winger. He's a nippy, ickle striker! Very tricky - he could do a job
