    The 5 hardest away games?

    I reckon the they are:

    The Scum
    Chavski
    The Arse
    The Bitters
    Bolton

We've just played 3 of them and we're still only 6 points off the top.

Our next two away games are The Scum and The Arse, we'll then be through the worst of it. If we can get any sort of result from these two I'll be happy.

    Onwards and upwards.

    Yup, what he says.

Seriously, that is some away start to the season though, with confidence being eveything etc, phuk, be a stroll soon enough.

I made this precise point to a Bluenose ‘associate’ earlier today and he had this to say:

“You have not had a hard start. You should have 9 points from 12 in away games so far and any title pretenders should be winning at Sheff U, Bolton and our place. Instead you have one point. You’ll do well to finish above Villa this season.” :whatever:

      Clever aren’t they?

He's right though. If we are to win the EPL we should be beating Sheff Utd, Bolton and Everton. Finishing below Villa however, now that's where he sounds like a complete c*nt! :whatever:

Yes we “should” be winning at the likes of Bolton but it doesn’t always work like that. In the next breath, this Bluenose proceeded to rave about Man United – a team who failed to beat Reading only last week. He vehemently claims we have not had a hard start and that is the most ridiculous of his claims.

Completely agree. How much harder can you get? The other top three teams in the country, the derby game and Bolton @ the Reebok.

It is a hard start however if we have ambitions to be champions picking up 1 point from 12 simply is not good enough
                Dare we believe

                    which game isn't?

How often do we win at Tottenham Hotspurs? Or Middlesbrough? Portsmouth is no pushover, nor is Blackburn, Aston Villa won't be either now.

Exactly. Can anyone name an easy away game? Easiest might be Watford but beyond that there aren't any. The only ones I can just about accept us not winning are Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd. The ohters are all inferior teams and if we don't win it's 2 points dropped every time.
rnm is funny, funny like funny haha.

                      Goals 2006/7 (CS, PL, CL)

                      2: Gonzalez, Kuyt, Riise
                      5: Crouch

Right now, the way we're playing, no away game is easy.

A back to basics approach is what's needed.

Spot on. We need to be winning these games, or at least picking up 6 from 9 points.
1 from 9 aint good enough.
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

Youre right in a way but officials decisions have cost us dearly so far and I really hope that they will even out by the end of the season.

                            Chelsea-blatant pen.
Everton-first goal? give em that, second? Wrestling players to the ground!!
                            Blatant penalty
                            Bolton- enough said!

We could have ( and agree should have) won all these. We've outplayed some of these and only bad finishing and bad luck have stopped us from beating good teams. Things would be different then with the press, and everyone on every forum, saying we're amazing.

Was so dissapointed over the weekend but feel better now. Some very tough matches out of the way and only six points adrift! A long way to go.

Someone's in line for a good hiding! Let's hope it's United!!!!!!
No, no, no.........I'm only scary 'cause I'm hairy

Big year for me 2008, hope it all goes well for me, oh, and you lot too!

A difficult start yes, but so what? We've not played that well at all, and we haven't the results.
