The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I thought we all established that Rafa wanted to sell Xabi and bring in Barry to please Mrs B?
Barry was going to play mostly at Anfield.
Riera signing would have depended on how much Barry would have cost.
Xabi now thinks Rafa should leave here and join ST.
Both Xabi and Barry were worth more than any money men were willing to splash out.
      What time is now?

Mrs Benitez, Mrs Barry or Mrs B on ST?
        More than Melwood?
Do you really think that's an adequate answer?
        Rafa's not on ST already?
        That's true.
        Later than you think.

i've changed my opinion of what i thought riera would be like and i have acknowledged this numerous times. i also think kuyt has improved immensely. still think lucas is turd and pennant should be forced out though

meanwhile you are the type of person that will never have a bad word said about him.

when i get it wrong i put my hands up but at least I'm a man who is capable of forming his own opinions. tell me fredo have you ever disagreed with something rafa has done?

Not sure about the full context of your statement
the context is in delivering the title this year and responding to fredo who'd argue we'd look good in blue if rafa wore a blue tie.

just got back from the game, ****in freezing and all said and done we we awful. the tactics today was reminiscent of everything that went wrong before in seasons past, just glad we got a bit of luck and scraped the 3 points

For the record, there was never going to be a straight swap in terms of values for Barry and Xabi. And even when this was clear Rafa still pursued Barry at a price of £18m and there were rumours of a falling out because the Board wouldn't back his bid for Barry at £18m. Parry came out with the quotes as well regarding Barry not being worth £18m. Now he pursued Barry at that price, he wouldn't have bought Reira IMO. He would have been about £6m - £8m down on that deal based on what Xabi was going to be sold for, and there wouldn't have been a signing of both Barry and Reira. Reira was a fall back option

Fredo, tbh you were slating Xabi constantly on various threads in the summer when Rafa was after Barry. You just follow everything he does and that's it.

I was one of the ones slating Rafa in the Summer and for wanting that deal and I'll happily admit that. I'll also admit that I want him sacked if he doesn't win the title or get damn close this season. Also, I'll apologise if he wins us no. 19 this season and admit I was wrong.

But Fredo, you just try and justify yourself and say you were right with some right ridiculous statements and then come out with sarcastic replies to people like Rage. Even after the start of the season you were saying Alonso would get found out against most other teams in the Prem. Well he's just bossed the Chavs and quite a few other teams lately so admit you were wrong. Barry is nowhere near the class of an on-form Alonso. Any man worth his salt can see that. His poor season? Don't to a broken foot twice....forgive the guy for being in and out of form that season.

As far as I am aware no one wanted Rafa sacked this summer or after 5 games. The doubters said if he didn't mount a serious challenge this time he should go.
                And now you're involved.

All I'd say is that I have drawn a line in this thread. It's highly speculative and is going nowhere. I have my opinions and you have yours.

Glad to see that we're top of the league and that my 'faith' in Rafa is being justified.

We weren't that **** mate. We could have won 3-1 and it probably should have been that score.

Pennant did whip in some good crosses but far too often he just passes it back whereas with Babel and Riera, they turn and face their man and aim to cut into space and run with it.

At least we then attract a foul or an opportunity. Pennant just ****s himself. I wish he would go now.

I guess he couldn't be of any help alone.

I have to admit I'm a bit worried about Alonso. Does anyone else think he has had a dip in form over the last couple of games? I mean, he hasn't got an opposition player sent of in either! Time to bench him I think.
