Brilliant performance, this was just like watching Rafa's Valencia. It's hard to single out one player which is fantastic I'm just happy we didn't trade Barry for Xabi. Our spine was incredible today - Gerrard, Xabi, Mash, Carra and Agger.
To be fair to the pundits today, Hoddle was really showing us lots of respect all day today. As for Gullit I just think he was just being Dutch i.e. everyone's football is inferior to mine.

gullit is a prick..... a right ****in wank-stain if you ask me.... i hope he gets clipped one of these days.....
liverpool deserved it today and i must say, compared with the chelsea of circa 2005 or 2006, they are on the way down...... when they had 2 of duff robben or cole operating behind drogba.....with essien, makelele and lampard in the middle, then they were a team...... ****in jokeshop today though......
i feel that if we can beat atletico then we can purely concentrate on the league. I would prefer if rafa played the kids in the carling and fa cups this year and had a good crack at the double....
****in great stuff

Excellent performance.
We controlled the game throughout. Was liking the passing and movement in the final third, and the players showed they are growing in confidence, especially in the 2nd half. Was starting to get a bit concerned in the last 15 minutes of the 1st half as we were dropping off a bit too much, but Rafa sorted that out at half time and we came out in the 2nd half with the right attitude and went at them again. Throughout the 2nd half I was never worried about conceding, unlike previous years when we have been in this position. Thought we were unlucky not to get a 2nd.
We have a good run of winable games coming up now before we play Arsenal. Lets hope we can continue the winning run up to that game.Last edited by Hammer; 26-10-08, 05:59 PM.
