I really don't see what you are getting at though. Show me in this thread where someone has ripped into Carragher?
No one has ripped into Carragher in an open way. It's more that people are making out Agger and Skrtel to be better than him that is probably making him pissed off. As he rightly said Carra is one of our players that is easily forgotten about due to the lack of international recognition he has had.

    The insults are pointless though.

I think Skunk has a bit of a point to be honest. Not long ago some people were saying Agger was a goner and bringing up all these rumours about him. Now he's played some decent games, Carra is finished. It's ridiculous really

Agger is a class act but Carra is the best defender at the club. The way some people just change from one view on a player to another is a bit of a joke to be honest

I for some weird reason prefer Skrtel to Agger but I do think Agger is a fantastic defender and one for us to keep forever. Agger was good yesterday and he is starting to mature a lot more in his role, credit has to go to both Rafa and Carragher's organisation.

But where is anyone saying Carragher is finished? No one will answer my question!?!?!?! Someone simply asked how long people thought it would be until he did retire, and that when he did - Skrtel was the perfect replacement.

He has already said that once he is not first choice and playing regularly he will leave the club.

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Why not just admit that Skrtel and Agger together have the FM X factor?

That's what i said, Carra can't go on for ever. I said 2 years at top level, then slowly fading him out. The same happened with Sami, he's not been first choice for a couple of seasons now.

You and your ****ing FM obsession, it's your answer to any critique of Carra. Age comes to us all. ****, one day it might come to you and you'll mature a little.

They are nowhere near in the same league as Carra.

Skrtel and Agger are good players and may one day be as good, or maybe even better than Carra. But that day is a long way away. People should watch us play and count the number of times he bails us out, it's unreal. He is also the organizer at the back - the key man.

If Agger and Skrtel do not improve before Carra leaves us then you can forget the golden gloves awards for Reina. Hopefully they will improve.
I agree with you danny - but imo i don't see or believe that anyone in their right minds is doubting Carragher and anyone who doesn't see he is a ****ing legend is smoking crack.

But i don't see with whats wrong with people thinking about the future and the potential pairing of Skrtel and Agger and getting excited about it. Imo it's perfectly reasonably to ask how long carragher has at the top, I for one htink and hope he will still be playing some part at 35 - but it would laughable for anyone to suggest that any footballer in the world, once there career starts to come to an end (which is usually between 30 and 36 - there is not many regular first teamers in top flight football aged 37 plus is there???) will start everything game and play to the best of the ability week in week out like they did when they were 28.

It just doesn't happen. - I love carragher, he has been everything you could possibly want from a liverpool player and as i have quoted before I remember seeing/hearing tommy smith saying the one compliment that sums up carragher - "shanks would have loved him!" -

but Agger and Skrtel look like great footballers, and if all goes well they could be or maybe should be our centre back partnership for ten years

thats not having a pop at carragher or wishing he was out the way at all - just stating the fact that noone can question - we have two young centrebacks at the club who look to have a great future ahead of them and the potential to have a brilliant partnership

IMO at least, it was implied.

Go on the likes of RAWK and Carra barely even gets a mention these days, unless it's criticism, and much of the talk is of when Skrtel and Agger are going to be paired together, based on nothing much.

                              Sheringham and Maldini?

Fair enough - but that's RAWK, and it's not fair to bring gripes you have with one forum onto here.
I really don't see how it was implied in that original post. And even if it was, it wouldn't have been knocking him as a player, rather how long he can go on for which is a valid question IMO, and doesn't have to imply that you are also knocking his ability in any way.
