Why not ask? Yes, we'll enjoy his perforamces now, but why not ask what happens when we will no longer be able to call on Carra. It's no disrespect to Carragher, but if we want to be a future threat, we as fans would like to know the future is also secure, not just the now.

All this stems from the fact that he, and others, prefer Agger and Skrtel, yet just can't admit it.

Instead they use silly hypothetical scenarios 3 years down the line.

I was the one who originally asked the question and I think it is a valid point, I honestly think Carragher will have Hypia's current role in the squad in 3 years time, hopefully along side a young defender (around 20) who can learn from all three of them.

if I preferred Agger and Skrtel I would say so, I don't have a preference.
