    What's all this about then?

What did the players get? A smattering of applause from the north stand but otherwise virtual silence, with row upon row of seats that had emptied in the closing minutes, and a lone fan who ran on to the pitch and was still aiming kicks at Liverpool players even as he was being manhandled away by security guards. They deserved something far better.

The above facts belong to everybody; the opinions to me; the distinction is yours to draw...

You can bet your arse if it happened at Anfield with one iof our fans it would be all over the Southern press.

For me the bigger deal is that there was only a smattering of applause (and boos from what I heard from people at the game) after the game. How would we react if Liverpool had gone on a 4 year unbeaten run spanning 86 games? I would expect the fans to give the players a standing ovation when it ended.

This highlights yet again the difference between between real fans and "plastic" fans. I was in the Kop against Wigan and Zaki got applause from all sides of the ground after his second (amazing) goal, yet Chelsea fans boo their team despite most of them probably never seeing that happen before - typical cockney fans, like those at Wembley, they demand to be entertained and jump on their players backs when things don't go their way...

I'll get off my soap box now!

They would make it their mission to tell the whole known world about LFC's 'terrible' fans, tossers.

This behaviour, the lack of a show of appreciation for their team and the amazing run at home just sums up the majority of Chav fans to a tee, no class whatsoever.

Sorry if I was generalising a bit, I'm sure not all cockney football fans are glory hunting plastic fans! But do you know the type of fan I mean? I bet a large number of the arrogant, glory hunting, mindless Chelsea fans are the same "fans" who boo England....not that I care a great deal about the England team...

But then I work with a few and none of them are anything like that. In fact one who I chatted to this morning complimented us on our performance - especially the style of play and said we created more chances etc. Fair play to him.

Yeah, I bet they are real Chelsea fan who have supported them for more than 5 years!

Every (big?) club has those moronic fans who don't really love or understand football, but Chelsea seem to have many more than any other team in the prem IMO.

I don't know any Chelsea fans. They hardly have any, do they? By full time yesterday half of them had already ****ed off to get home and moan on the radio phone ins about how lucky we were.

                      ****s.

I live in london and i know a few chelsea fans.. none of them are ****s. You can't generalise about supporters based on who they support and where they are from. We have our fair share of idiots in our ranks.

Yesterday to ease congestion we were held by stewards before we could enter the away end. Of course a couple of fans couldn't handle this so start shouting abuse at the police and the stewards. They managed to put everyone on edge and made things more uncomfortable than it should have been. People get anxious and start pushing etc. Kids in there.. those fans were the biggest ****s I saw on the day and they were LFC.

                        Great supporters? yes. Nobheads? definitely.

I thought it was a Liverpool fan embracing the players. I was in the upper shed end though and haven't got brilliant eye sight, besides was too busy jumping up and down singing 'we are top of the league' at the Chavs so could be very wrong
This city has two great football teams – Liverpool and Liverpool reserves

Saw this one on liverpool.no and wonderer what it was. Either way, if someone gets into the pitch, FA usually makes a meal out of it, but haven't heard anything about this.
Mystery is at the heart of creativity. That, and surprise.

We had queued up for 30 mins before the game, they didn't let us in until after Alonso's goal due to 'turnstile failure' anyone with half a brain could see we wouldn't all get in before kick off and people's safety would be compromised. The kick off should have been delayed, fans are passionate especially at a game like yesterdays. Even more so when they've paid £50 for a ticket and miss a goal through no fault of there own. Was this your first ever match by any chance?
