Rubbish, Terry is fantastic. Terry seems to get the same jibes as our own Carra ude to playing next to a fancy ball playing centre back. Terry is by far the better DEFENDER. Hence the reason he is Captain of England and Chelsea and is on a massive wage.

Mourinho and Scolari have both said in the press he is the best defender they have ever worked with. Capello obviously sees him as the best centre back as he gave him the armband over Ferdinand.

And watching yesterday I can see that Carra was looking to speak with Terry and ask him if the elbow on Reina was intentional. And it's well known that Carra and Stevie are mates with Terry (and Lampard) so I very much doubt he was looking to chin him.

I'd definitely have Ferdinand down as the better defender, more comfortable on the ball, pace, marking and seems to be less caught out than Terry. Terry is Engalnd captain because he is a more motivational leader than Ferdinand, not a better player!

I actually think it could be down to the fact that a defenders full ability is not shown by what you see on TV. And the special points of Carra and Terry is their ability to command and orgnize a back 4, just like Tony Adams used to do for Arsenal.

You can have the 4 best defenders in world football, but if none of them are leaders or organizers then you will concede a bucket load.

I can name you one..best striker in the world, by the name of Fernando Torres who said Carvalho is the better defender.

Players at Chesea, ex players from Chelsea, Management from Chelsea. These are the people who work with both on a daily basis. As for players who have played against there has also been plenty.

All I can say is think of the defenders Desailly has played with and against during his amazing career. Winner of the world cup, european cup, champions league, titles galore. Who do you think he says would be his first choice if he was a manager and who do you think makes his all time perfect XI?
