A little bit too similar. I don't think Babel has the intelligence to support Torres. Try it out by all means but I just don't think they would compliment each other. I still think Keane and Torres will click and when they do they will scare the **** out of the premiership.
    Dare we believe

No way. Robbie Keane contributes so much and the goals will flow soon. Only the idiots would drop our expensive new striker even though he is working so hard to make things right. The same idiots who have been desperate to get rid of kuyt

So let's not even ask any football related question because Rafa is more qualified than any of us

i'd stick with keane. babel hasn't looked quite right this season. things are going well so far this season so i wouldn't be inclined to change them. not saying that were doing better this year soley because of keane but he is a main part of it. he creates so much space for other players. how many times has kyut scored this year thanks to keane. stick with keane for now though hopefully babel picks up his form and gets the starting berth he craves.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Good post. It was just a question about whether Babel and Torres up front would be good and worth a try.

possibly could work. torres and babel would have more pace up front than most defenses could handle. torres can pretty much play wherever and however he wants and dragging defenders out of position for babel to take them on one on one would be devastating. vice versa with babel drifting out wide leaving torres one on one. in the long run torres and babel would be a formidable front line.

Babel playing a bit of a roaming role and running from deep and attacking defenders. Would create more space for Torres I think also

He's hardly gonna drop Keane when he payed £20m for him, no chance what so ever.

Personally I'd try Babel on the right against the ****e teams we play at home.
                  Forwards.......

each to their own but i cant see why people want babel on the right. he's not a winger who likes to hit the bye line and cross. from the right you take away the main weapon in his arsenal.....cutting inside the defender and unleashing his awesome right foot shot. hes much more effective coming from the left.

Bull**** posts removed, sick and tired of this nonsense, personally I think this is a valid question to be asking on a football discussion forum, if you disagree with the OP's view then say why rather than making it personal, its extremely tedious.

And nobody gets to say who posts on this forum.... apart from me and Paul

Right, anyway, nope, personally I don't think Babel has demonstrated his ability consistently enough to be starting with Torres upfront, and to play him there would potentially detract from the rest of the team. For me Babel is best used currently as a sub. At the moment however I'm not sure I'd play Keane and Torres either (in the biggest games at least), my preferred formation is the 4-2-3-1 with Alonso and Mascher behind Gerrard and Kuyt & Riera wide of Torres.

Do you think he's consistent enough for that role though dude? I worry about him playing there and just running into blind alleys rather than having the guile to pick that critical pass for Torres. I can see the idea, I'm just not sure it would work at all well.

Never understood the reasoning behind people wanting Babel to play as a second striker. He doesn't have the guile or intelligence to play this role. Someone with his pace should be playing on the shoulder...to stretch the play.

For me though, as things stand, he's still better off wide.

Playing Babel as a second striker is ludicrous to say the least.

He's an Ajax wide forward, nuff said.

He cant play through the guts, he needs to be wide to cause damage.

Keane has been playing well, just needs a goal, and to be a tad more greedy. He's trying to set up others too much when he could just pull the trigger.

Michael it's not a valid question either, its a stupid question. What have Torres and Keane done wrong lately? Nothing. Because they haven't played together for 3 weeks.

People are too quick to suggest changes on here, we were going fine, and still are. Babel playing through the middle will not change anything other than make us lose Keanes work rate.

I asked a question on a forward pairing, you're always looking for an argument
