    Why Keep taking Keane off?

Any thoughts on this - how is the lad to score if he's only playing 60-65 minutes.

Needs to get the 90 as i think he can be more dangerous as the defenders become tired and lose a yard.

maybe he's injured at the moment but this has happened all season.

As you say he's been injured recently plus he's running around like a lunatic when he's on meaning that he'll tire more quickly than other players unless you're superhuman like Dirk.

He tires the defenders and we've obviously been trying to use Babel's pace and directness on the counter. Sadly we conceded straight away against Spurs

I think its killing Keanes confidence knowing he;s only likely to get 60-65 mins, strikers thrive on playing every minute of the game knowing that they will out away a chance if it falls to them. He played regularly at Spurs and banged in the goals, Rafa give him 10 full games and see the difference it will make to him

I think it's a little unfair to shine the spotlight on Keane alone. I think it's fairer to say that the central attacking triumvirate of Keane, Torres and SG haven't yet clicked. It's going to take game time for them to gel what with injuries and the odd dodgy formation I really think getting Torres back and playing a settled 442 is what it is going to take to kick start that unit.

Still on the bright side even though he has been less than stellar he's already contributed to six goals (4 assists + 2 goals) and if you can get that type of production while he's bedding in you can't really go wrong.

BTW SG is well off the 20 goal 20 assist pace he set last year as well, so that obviously isn't helping, but I'm pretty sure they'll come good, in 5 games, 3 months, a season. Dunno, but there is too much class in that unit for it not to work.

4 assists is good so far. I think he adds a lot of game intelligence to the attacking setup. I'd like to see Yossi and Keane working together. I think that could work too.

Could be the case of trying too hard to impress in the limited time he's got. Thought he did brilliantly for the goal on Sunday but too often at the moment I find myself thinking that he's trying to play an eye-catching flick or a killer pass that isn't quite on.

I still think he'll come good - a quality player at Spurs should never become a lesser player at LFC.

Bellamy offered more than Keane has so far.

Not true at all. At Spurs, he played in a rotation system both under Jol and Ramos (allthough Berbatov and Keane became the preferred partnership). If you recall, they had 4 very good strikers. There was an interview with Keane whether he was bothered about beng subbed off/starting on the bench/rotation. He replied something along the lines of "I played in a rotation system for many years at Spurs...".

Rafa has given more game time than he deserves and that's a fact. He has offered us less than the likes of Crouch, Morientes, Cisse, Bellamy and even Babel. They all cost much less than him and 2 were sold at a profit. In fact he has cost almost the same amount as Torres. Keane has little/no sell on value too. We'd be lucky to get £10m for him if we decided to sell him.

And top it off, Keane has most definately completed more air shots in 2/3 months than andy Cole did in his whole career. Embarrassing.
