Agree.Originally posted by Charly View PostI for one think we should save Kuyt for away games, and the tough home games.
Kuyt is perfect for the merseyside derby and tough away games. He's useless against the likes of Stoke, WBA, etc when you need you need a bit of guile to break down a stubborn defence.
Kuyt is a grafter, nothing more nothing less. We won't win the league if he's starting every game, you can count on it.

Sorry but that's a load of bollocks. By that rationale, Ronaldo is holding Utd back in a big way.Originally posted by AFII View PostA big reason to why Man U isn't close to the top is that Fergie now plays with Berbatov instead of Tevez. That means that all the other players must do a lot of extra hard work.
Every member of a team has a role. Ronalo and Berbatov are tasked with creating and scoring goals. There are other fellas, bruisers, in the United team to deal with the defensive side of things.
In our case, we are horribly unbalanced because our manager insists on playing a failed striker on the right side of midfield. And the guy is so **** going forward, Mascherano would do a similar - if not better - job out there on the wing.
Sick of the continous apologies for Kuyt. Decent squad player but doesn't belong on the weekly team-sheet of a team with title aspirations.

It's funny how we've got more goals and assists from that "unbalanced" right side than anywhere else, isn't it. 6 goals and 3 assists. I wish our other midfielders were as crap.Originally posted by LFC1892 View PostSorry but that's a load of bollocks. By that rationale, Ronaldo is holding Utd back in a big way.

Also funny how a horribly unbalanced team can be doing so well.

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Useless against WBA? Hmmm…Originally posted by LFC1892 View PostAgree.

If the league started last year when Kuyt was moved out wide, we’d be clear top and almost certain to win it. Why can’t this form continue? Is it because he’s too slow or got a poor first touch. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t play for Arsena, United or Chelsea we might get deducted points. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I know it doesn't say that much but Kuyt is third in the Actim index thingy http://www.premierleague.com/page/Ac...,12306,00.html in good company I might add top five look like thisOriginally posted by LFC1892 View PostSorry but that's a load of bollocks. Anelka
Lampard
Kuyt
Agbonlahor
Robinho
The top six are running away from the others. Kuyt is so underrated it is unbelievable, specially amongst Liverpool fans who supposedly watch the games and see the role he plays. If we had a purely creative player instead of Kuyt, like Quaresma the team would be just as "unbalanced" IMO.
----------Torres
Riera---Keane/Gerrard--Quaresma
Only two of these will run around allday, Torres and Keane (ok 70 mins) or Gerrard. Alonso is not that mobile so having Kuyt on his side helps a lot leaving Mascher with a bigger space to cover.
The team with Kuyt in it has a good balance between attack and defence IMO.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Just as an FYI. Quaresma is really struggling in Italy. He hardly starts or finishes a game and has only 2 assists so far. We dodged a bullet there.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostI know it doesn't say that much but Kuyt is third in the Actim index thingy http://www.premierleague.com/page/Ac...,12306,00.html in good company I might add top five look like this

I even forgot about Europe. He might not be the player of the year for anyone else but so far this season he has been one of our most important. These days I feel more comfortable with him in the side (specially after he starting scoring a bit).Originally posted by RedReet View PostFactor Europe into that and we've got player of the year on our hands...

Just had him as an example though, was not keen on him.

Can I just quote this and say that I mean the exact opposite of what is written there. Saves me a whole lot of typing. That is the exact opposite.
Except for the sentence that says "every member of a team has a role".

Comedy gold!!! You should post more if that is going to be the standard.
