thought it was a comfortable win. their fans were value for money.

keane finally scored and actually had his best game regardless.

aurelio is 10 times the fullback that dossena is.

riera looks like he needs a rest, yossi had plenty of the ball but as usual kept hold of it too much.

kuyt, well he's just kuyt. clear examples of players getting frustrated with him again today.

we're a different team with torres on the pitch, better movement and a lot more dangerous.

in the end pleased with the 3 points, it was a game we should and did win comfortably.

oh and as for the question where i was - how about the game.

Hopefully he'll start showing the kind of form he showed last season, but not if he's only coming on for 20 or 30 mins. He needs a run of matches I think but his form doesn't command it at present.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Is Arbeloa suspended for the Carling Cup games against Spurs or our next League match after his 5th yellow card?
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

Not having a pop but we need to punish teams, should have had more than three goals. On another day they could have made it 2-1 and we'd be struggling for the last 15-20 mins

Just want to see the team get a ruthless streak and finish off teams a lot earlier when we're clearly capable of that

I agree with you to a certain degree with the fact of goal difference.

CAN ANY OF YOU IMAGINE IF WE LOST THE TITLE ON GOAL DIFFERENCE?.(But that i think is a whole new thread).

But i think Gerrard had a really good, commanding and very influential game yesterday. It seems that if Gerrard doesn't score,he has an average or wasteful game.He is the best out there.

Why the f*ck is anyone complaining about our goal difference and moaning about a 3-0 victory?

So life ain't perfect. Wow, let's look for the negative, that will really make us feel good.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Not sure who you're post is aimed at.

My personal view of the goal difference thing is trying to imagine how i would feel if after a season of coming so close and losing it on goal difference.I don't think i would really handle that well.I am so desperate for a title win.

                  It's not complaining,just thinking.

It wasn't directed at any particular comment - more an accumulation of several from different people here and elsewhere.

Yes more goals would be nice (for goal difference and entertainment) but it's not worth worrying about IMO. I mean, if we come that close then most of us would say it was a good season.

Anyway, it just means we have to get at least one point than Chelsea so it's not fatal.

Sluggish start but comfortable win as expected. Onto Bolton.

Well Neil I'm ****ing over the moon as I correctly predicted the score, almost got the scorers right and we are still joint top of the league

Chelsea need to come to our place yet and I am confident we can beat them again. We win the title by 3 points, happy days

I think it is a continuation of something that has been apparent in the last few games and has at times been a fault in all our central midfielders. They seem a bit hyperactive and look like they are trying to hard to make things happen rather than taking the percentage option at times and having faith that we will get things right.

Mascherano however looked much better today than he has of late.

Very glad to get a convincing win. To buck the trend I actually quite like the current way things are going with everyone hyping Chelsea and us getting to carry on. In previous seasons a game like the one against West Brom would have been surrounded by lots of talk of how we always slip up against the weaker teams but this year the game got relatively little nonsense surrounding it. We are still improving our form as a squad so not having too much pressure but picking up points and improving our goal difference is nice. Especially as we are now starting to spread the goals about the team.

By the way been off line most of the weekend so was Dossena injured as I noticed Insua was on the bench?

Dossena had a weight watchers class on Saturday evening apparently so couldn't make the game
