I think Hyypia would be the 'old head' I'd look to for this game. I think that Lucas is a very good player and has a fair amount of games under his belt from Brazil.

I'd also like to see babel give some responsibility as he needs to start thinking about where his career is going. He has stagnated and needs some motivation to kick on.
Definately Him and Dossena should play on the left and maybe with Torres up front. That leaves Degen and maybe Pennant/El Zhar on the right with possibly N'Gog partnering Torres?

This is really tough. I'm willing to bet though that we'll see either Mascher or Alonso tonight, we don't need both of them on saturday with Keane and Gerrard taking a break.

You may well be right. I would however like to keep all of our players back for the PL regardless of the opposition. I think with Torres coming back to fitness and Rafa worried about the number of games Keane has played a rest for as many of our goal threats as possible would be a good idea. (Obviously I would like Torres to get a run out for the sake of sharpness though).

It does seem a good game to give N'Gog a run too. He looked quite dangerous in preseason.

          I'm guessin something like

          Cavalieri
          Degen Hyypia Agger Dossena
          El Zhar Plessis Lucas Benayoun
          Torres NGog

Possibly Pennant starting for either of the wide men or NGog. Looking forward to seeing Cavalieri & Degen. Hope El Zhar gets a chance and takes it too.

Time for Lucas to step up in the middle of the park too - Spurs are quite weak there so hopefully he can make an impression.

          Hat-trick for Torres!

This is one game in which I genuinely couldnt care less who wins, a good workout for the young uns and crocks and thats fine by me. Id prefer a win so the youngsters get another game of experience next round but if we lose then so be it.
