As for a general discussion I don’t have any objection if it is financially justifiable, as long as it is dignified and Anfield is part of the name.

Ie The Anfield Mega Staduim, sponsored by Tampax

Regardless of what the hell the club call it (which is bound to be something horrifying), everyone will (or should) just continue to call it Anfield. I know I will.

We will sell the naming rights because we need the money, so I don't think we should bother discussing the pros and cons.

Whatever it is called , we will still call it Anfield anyway. Even grounds with no history are not called by their sponsorship names - have you ever said that Liverpool were away at the O2 stadium or do we just call it The Riverside?

I'm more interested in who it will be , because no doubt they will be our new shirt sponsor as well and we will see the company's corporate colours creeping into our kits , as with the Carlsberg green

As long as Anfield is still in the name, and it is a good brand name like Adidas then what's the problem. We will all still call it Anfield anyway. If we can get the sort of £ that Arsenal got for theirs, then we'd be foolish to move on. Football is a different game now, money talks - we need as much of it as we can.
I'd prefer to have our stadium branded than be owned by some russian oil pimp c*nt.

I mean I agree with the sentiment but in reality, with all the papers and TV being forced to use the new name I could soon see things changing.

If they keep Anfield in the name, we have a chance. But by diluting the ownership of the stadium rights (by having Anfield in the name) we reduce the potential value.
