    Xabi Alonso last night........

The moment Alonso came on the pitch you could see the class in him. After watching some really poor footballers for 70 odd mins, his superior abilty shone like a beacon. His touch, control, vision and passing is absolutely first class. We maybe don't apreciate sometimes how good this guy is but last night,in the small amount of time he was on the pitch,he was the best player on the park by a country mile.

I am so glad we kept him.He makes a huge difference.

    Xabi Alonso,

'Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple.'

    He's back with a vengeance

I doubt the whole Barry saga was an elaborate ploy to give Xabi a massive kick up the arse but it's definitely worked!

Love him. He actually really tried to take the game by the scruff of the neck and get us ticking. He seemed to be everywhere when he came on. Classy classy classy.

Also, I think he should stop holding back and just grow a full beard. You can tell he is tempted. Just do it Xabi, just do it.

He does look rugged with the 5 o'clock shadow - he should go for the David Bellamy look or at the very least a handlebar moustache.

That is so so true. Xabi is a class apart.
