    Big Sami

Dominant all game amidst the battle at the reebok.
Written off time and time again, left out in the cold some could say too but when called upon he never lets us down. What a man.
I dread the day when his Liverpool career comes to an end.
"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

Not quite good enough anmore to be first choice, but excellent back-up. Couldn't ask for anything else in a 4th choice centre back.

I named by first-born daughter after him 8 years ago (Samia, i.e. SAMI hyppiA). And what a legend he's been since then. :-)
        One tit for another.

Shocker in midweek but bounced back brilliantly today. Some superb blocks and he was rock solid throughout. Good distribution too.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

"Legend" is an extremely overused term in football these days isn't it? Not misused in his case though. If we could win #19 this season and get Sami "the set" that would be one of the best things about doin' it for me.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

He played well for most of the game today, and he still got something to offer the team, even if not quite at the level he used to. He is basically perfect backup to have and a great influence on the squad and youngsters.

He did show today however that he is getting very slow. I know it has never been his force, but he is getting slower on the turns than earlier and at times looses one more step than he used to.

Be tempted to keep him on as a defensive coach TBH. Youngsters could learn a hell of a lot from the big man.
                      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Oh surely there's a coaching role for him when he stops playing.

My nephew Samuel was born just after we knocked Arsenal out of the CL. His mother (my sister) is an Arsenal fan and I took great delight in calling him "Sami" for a while.

I still call him Sami to be fair. His brother who is 4 should be supporting Spurs as that is who the dad supports but I've taught him the Torres song and he is now a little obsessed with our #9 When I play footy with him he now wants to be Liverpool/Torres.

                            Flippin Awesome.

Games against teams like Bolton is perfect for him. He is the clear fourth choice and will be off at the end of the season.

                              A Liverpool legend.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
