Good, i'm glad Keane and Gerrard have pulled out of a pointless, nothing game bang in the middle of a very important time for a real title challenge.Ferguson has been doing it for years, and is still doing it.

We just need to pull Torres and Alonso out and i will be very content.

Keane has been forced out of the squad with a shoulder injury which was diagnosed after he linked up with the party on Sunday
            .

I'm sure it would be up to the Spanish physio/docs to decide if Torres wasn't fit enough to play.

I think that's how it works.

Torres should say he has ball-ache and rule himself out.

Absolutely pointless time to have international friendles when the next competitive matches are not until March. They need to seriously sort out the international calender because it is ****ing ridiculous and places far too much demand on the players.

                      True.

I'm losing patience with him tbh. On his showing so far, he is the worst piece of transfer business we have done in a long time, if not of all time. £20 million

Keane has always been like that throughout his career, miss from 2 yards and score from 20. Like Kuyt, it’s his other qualities that he brings to the team that are equally important.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He's also notorious for getting off to a slow start goal scoring wise in most seasons. I'd expect him to start banging them in consistently after Christmas.
