never worth 20 million. garcia could do everything keane has shown so far.

but he's best is yet to come in a red shirt. he's clearly struggling to raise his game in a big team. only time will tell but i was really surprised when we were in for him at 20 million.

We should just accept he's here and putting 100% into every game.

If we win the league, he will have been worth every single penny.

If we don't I am not so sure. A great player who has still to show us consitently his true class.

Garcia couldn’t and wouldn’t have harassed the United defence as much as Keane did. Come the end of the season that match could prove vital, not only for the three points, but the confidence it gave us, especially going to Stanford Bridge knowing we’re no longer inferior to the other top three.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

keane wasn't bought to harass defenders and yes i've seen garcia harass defenders whilst playing for us. just to jog your memory go and replay extra time of the champions league final. garcia regularly harassed defenders.

also come the end of the season keane's misses against stoke could prove vitally important.

do you really think keane's been the player we'd hope to be to date? how much more could we have got villa for? not a lot imo and we'd have sell on value too.

keane only makes sense if we win the title, and even then unless he improves then it'll simply mask we won the title inspite of him not because of him.

come on i like everyone wants keane to succeed but he's not looked like the player we hoped for so far.

I would have been in 2 minds in the summer had the figure been 10 million. 20 million is silly money for a 28 year old. People are pretty passe about it, but he was 20 million quid, that's 20 million quid. If he doesn't come good, it could cost Rafa his job in the long run. Mentioned it before, but Ged's reputation was ruined by a summer of madness where he wasted 20+ million quid. If we don't challenge at the end of the season, Keane and Dossena could be a millstone around Rafa's neck.

We won't know till the end of the season. Even PL proven players take a while to settle at a new club, let alone a team like ours which is one of the most, if not the most, tactically aware. If he scores 15 goals this season he would have justified his purchase, 4 and counting so far.

Maybe not worth 20mil but he's a quality player. I just think he's still in awe of his surroundings, of course he's played for big clubs before in big games etc but none as big as Liverpool and none were his team.
Come the turn of the new year i can see Keane really hitting form.

Ofcourse he isn't worth £20m but Spurs were never going to sell their captain for any less. In today's market everyone has to pay over the odds for the top players (thanks abramovich) or sign freebies like Voronin

Keane worked harder in that one game than Garcia did in his whole Liverpool career.

I'm a RK fan but he wasn't worth £20 million.

How much would we get for him now if we were to sell him? £20 million, me thinks not.

He's not worth 20 mill, but he's about as good as they come if you want a striker to sit on the bench or come off after 60 mins regularly - especially if you also want them to run their balls off closing the opposition down and score the occasional important goals (e.g. West Brom). So, I'm not really complaining. I suspect he's a good man to have around the changing room too - especially for the British lads.
