Sure he's missing far too many chances, several of them absolute sitters that my gran would have scored, but he is definitely contributing a lot to the attacking shape of the team. He's also a handful for opposing defenders thus creating space for those around him.

thats a decent start from one player.

if he starts scoring in the second half of the season and ends with about 15 goals then he'd have had a very good first season.

stop judging him against torres. no player we sign in future will stand a chance if you all compare them against nando. nando is one of a kind.

sure if he never improves then he'd be a waste of cash but since when did we stop giving our own players a fair chance and our support? giving him at least one season means not slagging him off constantly and not talking of loaning him out in jan.

Its amazing specially since some think with Keane on the pitch we are only playing with 10 men. Probably think with Dossena we are down to 9 men so being joint top of the league is very impressive.

yep you're right there. we'd be top of the league if keane and the fat italian had never played for us. fact that we're second with them both in the team shows how far we've come this year.

There is no question. He's not doing nearly enough at the moment. The role he's playing, that number 10 style role is a bit of a luxury and is a position where the best of the best flourish. Messi, Kaka, Aguero types. Imagine the partnership one of those could strike up with Torres. It would be frightening.

For 20 million a player in that position should be creating and scoring goals, and should be one of the biggest threats on the pitch. And Keane just isnt doing that for us. He's working hard, and he is contributing, but no where near enough for my liking.

He's obviously a good player, and Im hoping that he'll come into some form and start doing his thing.

Personally Id like to see him stop all this sulking when he comes off. He should know himself that he's not doing nearly enough to justify a guarenteed 90 mins and up his game accordingly.

Personally I'd like to see him stop going for silly finishes from three yards out when he's only scored 2 prem goals all season. He needs to be benched for a few games imo

That's fair enough, but it's not really his fault nando and Stevie have been injured and Rafa has had to use him every week. It will be interesting to see how things develop when both are back.

Surely its been a bit hard for him to build up a partnership with Torres since he has been out injured so much? Partnerships dont form in a couple of matches they take time.
I would be more annoyed if he was going of happy, why you want a player happy to be taken off is beyond me. Maybe part of his unhappyness is due to him knowing he didnt do enough?
