That post you quoted though was relating to why it was easier to sign him than it would have been Villa. Nothing to do with why we should give him more support because he supported us as a boy

really? i didn't read it that way

non the less i still asked a question, and the politician type response is really all the answer i need.

Well I'll answer it with my opinion.

So far, I don't think Keane has looked to be worth £20m, but there is a long time left in the season so who is to say he won't be looking every bit worth it come the end of the season? Basically I refuse to write him off yet.

and let me state that i want him to succeed but he reminds me too much of morientes. obvious quality but the way we play and the step up to competing at the top of the premier league late in a career was a step to far

infact forget answering it, i'll write what you're scared of admitting. to date robbie keane has been our most expensive failure.
lol - scared of answering your question? I did answer it, you even quoted it

Whether Keane is worth 20 million isn't relevent to the points you tried to make. Its just a transparent attempt at saving face by deflecting back to the original topic when you were losing this particular argument.

For what its worth, I don't think Keane is worth 20 million. I also don't know the full picture as to why we paid so much for him, I'm sure it wasn't just out of charity.

It seems you are really strugging with this thread, you dont seem to be able to keep track of who said what, what context it was in and now you just don't seem to be able to read peoples posts properly, its almost like having an argument with someone suffering from dementia.

              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Keane isnt from abroad tho & has plenty of prem experience- it'll be fine.

I wouldn't be surprised if the new Keane song is "You're **** and you know you are"

The booing of Lucas and the slagging off of Dossena is really going to improve their confidence.

Obviously, the word "supporters" has lost it's original meaning.

I'll may be cut him some slack when he tries a bit harder and checks in that attitude. But I don't primarily blame him, I blame Rafa on spunking £20m on a player who has no place in this team or system. Nice one Rafa.

If we were going to play 2 up top, why didn't we keep Crouch? not the best in the air but holds the ball up better than anyone else and would be good alongside Torres in that formation

                        And just a question,

when we play opposing teams we think, Berbatov, Drogba, Rooney, Ronaldo etc are danger men and could score against us. When we used to play Spurs who worried about Keane being able to score against us?

He wanted to go, and in Europe or big league games he'd know we'd of gone with Gerrard behind Torres, he was never going to stay unless promised to play most of the game including big games and that was never happening.

It really is amazing how Keane has struggled to get going. I believe he can still turn it round but it seems there is an incredible burden on his shoulders when he pulls on the red shirt.

I know what keane can do and I think it will be right to scrutinise his performances cllosely after he has had the opportunity to play at least 5 or 6 games in a row alongside Torres.

But we haven't played that this season. We've tried playing two up top and I'm sure if he was told that he would have stayed

Torres hasnt been fit that much, we've still played it a few times though, Marseille at home, Chelsea away, Bolton away. And with Torres fit I think we'll revert to it in the future.
