There's a draft coming in. Tell Yossi to close the door behind him

Wouldn't be a great loss if he left the club.

Cheerio. Loses the plot when he gets in an important position. Ends up losing the ball and missing the opportunity. Much like Babel at the moment

He's right. We win without him in the team so he's no great loss.

He’s the kind of (very good) player that would suit Arsenal’s way of playing. I’d expect Wenger to be interested if he REALLY wanted to leave. But, IMO - the story’s bollocks.
          Another MASSIVE game

No chance would Arsenal buy him

Fair enough ... good player but at the moment a squad player

His first touch is awful. He can be cute with his passing at times like the way Arsenal play but isn't that technically grounded.

I think he's a really useful squad player, and we need players like him. However, I'm not sure he's quite up to the job, he squanders so many chances - typified by the pass by Gerrard against Portsmouth where it was easier to score than miss.

I'm sure he'd love to be a first teamer, but he isn't good enough. If he isn't content with his supporting role, then tarrah!

This is a funny place sometimes.

Pennant gets slagged because he is perceived as not caring about being left out of the side, and being prepared to just take his wages.

Yossi tells a Israeli TV station that he is unhappy about not being in the side, and may or may not have said that he might have to look for a move elsewhere because he wants to play. The Daily Mail can't even get the name of it's source right - 'Israel's Channel 5 has apparently been called 'Sports 5' for some time????

Yet people use this as something to beat Yossi up. Sometimes I wonder about the reputation of our fans as being 'fair' and 'knowledgeable about football'.

                    What he actually said was

כאשר אתה הולך דרך סערה מחזיק את הראש שלך גבוה ולא מפחד מהחושך
בסוף סערה הוא שמיים זהובים ושיר הכסף המתוק של חוגה

No one's 'beating yossi up', stop being so melodramatic.

Nail on the head, Players need to be realistic. I understand there frustrations but sometimes you need to settle. If one of our star turns was in a similar situation I could understand, but its up to the players on the fringe to make the position there own.

Riera for example has really made it quite difficult to prize that left side off him, strong on the ball, always wanting the ball, ability to beat a player, great delivery into the box and gives the rest of the team time to push up. He has arrived with low expectations and surprised a lot of people. Thats what you have to do when you arrive at a club like Liverpool and you have to do it week in week out, in many ways you have to strive to be better than the big names because in many ways you still have it to prove

But what happens if you do try and you are still, for whatever reason no in the team? Whether it is tactical or about your maximum ability. To me I think it is fair play if a footballer wants to play more, surely what nearly all fans want to see players who care first and foremost about playing rather than picking up their pay.

I like Yossi but I think he isn't strong or fast enough to make the team on a regular basis. It may not be about physical strength as Garcia did well for us but how you use your body. Whatever the root cause Yossi doesn't appear to quite have what we need as a starter. He is an excellent and reserve as he can play a number of positions to a decent level but if he has ambitions to lay every week he needs to move on. I'd personally rather we keep the current squad or add to it before the end of the season (exceptions made for the likes of Pennant who only feature when we wish to rest people and are unlikely to develop) but if he is unhappy a deal in January would not be a disaster.

bottom lone for yossi is that he's second in line to kuyt on the right and at least third to riera and babel on the left. not a good position to be in if you want to play a lot.
