yossi is a good impact player and adds real strength to our bench. i'd prefer to see him introduced earlier in games and even given a start on the right of a 442 when we're playing defensive mid table teams.

at this moment in time i'd actually drop keane, move kuyt upfront and play yossi on the right for the next 4 or 5 games in the premiership against weaker teams like fulham and hull.

i thought yossi had his best, most influential games when he;s started eg the 2 where he got hattricks last year. but i take the point that he has been our best player against **** teams a few times.

I like Yossi but I think he isn't strong or fast enough to make the team on a regular basis. It may not be about physical strength as Garcia did well for us but how you use your body. Whatever the root cause Yossi doesn't appear to quite have what we need as a starter. He is an excellent and reserve as he can play a number of positions to a decent level but if he has ambitions to lay every week he needs to move on. I'd personally rather we keep the current squad or add to it before the end of the season (exceptions made for the likes of Pennant who only feature when we wish to rest people and are unlikely to develop) but if he is unhappy a deal in January would not be a disaster.
Excellent points mate, a lot of fans are dullards lets face it. What Yossi has said is most definitely fair enough but its a fine line, message received Yossi, now get back to training. I always think of Ole Skolskar ?? you know the baby faced assassin at ManU, fantastic player great for the team and always happy just to be at the a club of that stature rather than demanding this or that. If any player was in a position to make demands it was him, but did he.. not to my knowledge, he took his lumps and got on with it and thats what you have to do at a large club.

Baring injuries he has a struggle to displace a in form Riera, Gerrard or Kuyt

im a bit over Yossi TBH. He is quite frustrating to watch, there's no doubting his skill, but he doesn't make the right decision most of the time. He can dribble around 3 players, then just when you want him to shoot...he passes, when nobody else expects him to, and the whole move ****s up.

Maybe a swap deal with Ajax could be nice. Luis Suarez for Yossi + 5mill. We'd have a Ajax style right winger then

              So either:

              1. Yossi wants out.

              2. An English journalist decided to use some mistranslated quotes and make up a story out of nothing.

              Hmm...

Pinch of salt over the story definately.

He's always seeme dto be happy enough to play of the bench and take his chances when they come. That's always been what's impressed me so much, you don't get many bench happy players who will come on as effectively and positively.

If he does want out or more playtime but it as to be out. As much as he's a fantastic bench player he's not a first teamer by a long shot. Although I'd be happy to see him on more against smaller teams if that's a compromise that would make him stay

Goodbye then. A good player not a great one. More suited to a team with mid-table aspirations

It will mean more opportunities for El-Zhar which can only be a good thing.
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

But you'd still be taking up a place on the bench
