But yours wasn't a fake injury to get you out of an England game.Originally posted by dom9 View PostI tore an adductor in April, and haven't played football since.
It still isn't right.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

So Gerrard is out. Meanwhile, Rooney is set to play for the Mancs tomorrow after his week off. Shock ****ing horror. As is Joe Cole for Chelsea. Ferdinand, Lampard and Ashley Cole are all 'doubtful' but reportedly all feature in their respective matchday squads.
Yet it was Gerrard's and LFC's integrity called into question. Some slanderous things were said and printed about both parties. On ITV on Wednesday evening, some reporter asked Capello whether he thought Gerrard was really injured, before adding with utter incredulity..."I mean, he played 90 minutes for his club on Saturday!!!!!!"
He was almost taking the piss FFS.
Yet nothing will be said. No apologies, **** all. I don't think there's a big conspiracy against us or anything but I just want to see us and our players treated the same as everybody else. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Gerrard will miss one game for his club as Rooney will have done for his.
I don't really see anything wrong with what happened this week but then I haven't followed what's been said, or at least reportedly said..

I think the difference is Rooney was very obviously rested against Stoke last week, with the international in mind. I suppose you'd have to Ferguson credit for a wily move, but regardless every man and his dog knew Rooney would play this weekend (tough game at Villa) yet there wasn't a peep said about his extremely dubious 'injury'. And he certainly didn't have his integrity called in to question by Capello by making him report for duty anyway. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Fergie only does what's best for United and why the **** should he not?
It's that ruthless, selfish approach thats helped United win a ****load of trophies during Fergie's reign."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Capello was flexing his muscles and letting everyone know he'll exercise his rights. He called Lampard in after he played on Saturday.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI think the difference is Rooney was very obviously rested against Stoke last week, with the international in mind. Of course reporters will tell the story any which way.
As an aside, now we're all so clear over how the media manipulate football stories for their own purposes I hope everyone's going to apply the lessons to coverage of the important stuff*.

Absolutely. Wish I'd spotted this before starting a thread in the general about it. I can't believe the double standards being applied here. FFS Gerrard IS injured and yet Capello insisted on a medical just in case we were lying. Now it's more than apparent that Chelsea and Utd were lying he should come out and say it. **** house cunt wont though. Utter utter bollocks.
