Also worried about the lack of creativity in midfield. Lucas really needs to step it up. If he can't do it in games like this then it's time to usher him out the door.

He'll flop. I have absolutely no confidence in this lad. He is not suited to our game or Premier League footy. I would expect the more experienced players in the Fulham midfield like Bullard and Murphy to run it more than Lucas. I'm not happy with this selection at all to be honest.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostBig game for Lucas today.White liquid in a bottle = Milk

100% agree.Originally posted by Dhav View PostAlso worried about the lack of creativity in midfield. Lucas really needs to step it up. If he can't do it in games like this then it's time to usher him out the door.
I have never been a fan of Lucas. You would imagine that wearing the armband of the Brazil under 21 team would mean you are going to be above ave, however at this point in time, comparing him to Anderson, Lucas isnt much.
He needs to step up today, but i think he is just a bit to slow for this league. Spain or Italy will be more suited to him i think.
Lets hope he does a job for us today, pushes up the price for him, and leaves in the summer.

Agreed. I don't think he is cut out for Premier League footy. Could see him doing a good job in Spain, but not here.

Agger moves up from defence and supports the midfield and he'll have various outlets in Kuyt, Keane, Torres and Riera. I think he'll do fine, if he has a bad game my confidence in him will start to crumble - he should perform.Originally posted by Dhav View PostHe'll flop. I have absolutely no confidence in this lad. If you are wrong, can we have an "I'm sorry I doubted Lucas" thread from you?Originally posted by Dhav View PostHe'll flop. I have absolutely no confidence in this lad. I think it is the ideal game for Lucas. He does need to step up but I think he is a very talented player who needs a run of games. With Murphy and Bullard in the centre for Fulham there is no overtly physical presence for him to overcome which is good. Unlike most others on here I have been impressed by the ball that Lucas plays into the attackers. With Torres fit again that will be a help to him too.
I have no worries about Lucas but I would have likes us to be more positive and played him alongside Alonso."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Agree with the second part. No need for Lucas and Mascher, should be one or the other (ie Mascher) alongside Alonso.Originally posted by dww View PostI think it is the ideal game for Lucas.
