    Not a bad day really.

    As you were.

    Missed opportunity maybe... but

Arse out of it. Chavs broken at home. Utd not the same..

I would hate for Stoke and Fulham at home to be decider results come the end of the season but the fact that Arsenal are out of it,
Utd aren't the same team as last year and Chelsea have lost their stronghold at home, we are still in the best position we have ever been to take hold of the title this season.

Xmas will sort the men out from the boys though..

    13 Dec, Hull City (H)
    21 Dec, Arsenal (A)
    26 Dec, Bolton Wanderers (H)
    28 Dec, Newcastle United (A)
    10 Jan, Stoke City (A)

    Happy Days..

the most important fixture is the next international break, which i dont think is for ages. we seem incapable of performing well after the break. putting the CL groups to bed would be nice aswell so we can focus on the big one

      Totally agree.

Rafa still has an eye on the CL.
He may need to box that off with Marseille.

      Are you a Kendal lad?

Good that Chelsea and Man Utd also drew, but it also means that when we next face a difficult away game like Man Utd had today, if we drop points, the mancs will have an easy home game to help them close the gap. We didnt LOSE ground but we missed what should've been an easy chance to increase the gap.

I said we would be at least 6 points clear at the top by the time we play the chavs in feb...I still see it like that but we cant afford to throw away 2 points like we have today. Come on Rafa lad, you have near God like status just 64 points away...........come on.

Sarb, you need to fill that half empty glass.

I think Chelsea will class that as an even bigger 3 points dropped.

They didnt drop 3 points though

On a serious note, Chelsea (to me, anyway) look less likely than us to drop silly points throughout the season, so the fact that they did today offered us a real chance and we blew it. The problem is that they're very strong and they have awesome strength in depth that will see them through the whole season, so we could really do with opening a gap on them in order to give ourselves some kind of margin for error in the 2nd half of the campaign.

                  Hmmmm.. Points dropped 1, 2, 3, wgaf?...

Newcastle at home should have proved a win for them.

We beat them.and any team going to Stamford Bridge will feel more confident than before now.

They drew, and got one point. So they dropped 2 points, not 3.

                          Stop splitting friggin hairs.

                          Read the thread title.

You are starting to turn it into a bad day.

How's it splitting hairs? One point could be very important. If they'd dropped 3 points, like you said, WE would be top now and not 2nd.

Just admit you made a minor mistake.
