I agree with carra, we the supporters were not helping the players by booing and moaning when things went wrong, lately I feel the atmosphere at home games has been a DISGRACE! This year and somewhat last year we have had one of the worst atmospheres in the league, which blue noses love to point out with that stupid 'official' decibel crowd test last year. Their is no noise made at home games other than 300+ lads at the top of the kop i do my best in the main stand but no one joins in! This pisses me off as in champions league we have best atmos around which spurs on the players to achieve the impossible yet in the league the one we want we cant muster even a few full pitch songs! No wonder we never win the league WE NEED A TWELTH MAN, I hate to say it but the scum manage to sing during their home games (I know they have bigger crowd but no excuse) this is a big issue and as carra said are negativity in the league is starting to affect the players so wherever you are in the stadium for the love of god SING YOUR HEART OUT FOR THE RED MEN, LIVERPOOL LIVERPOOL

What a ****ing joke if that was the case.Originally posted by Matt View PostWho was the last Liverpool player to get booed? Murphy?
Murphy was/is Liverpool through and through, scored some vital goals for us and always gave his all."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. as has been said numerous times before the reason is there are a lot of people who will only attend one match a season usuall a league one so they dont know any songs

Given the attendance was 45,362 I don't think that excuse is valid. There are enough regular match-goers, especially at league games.Originally posted by paulc View Postas has been said numerous times before the reason is there are a lot of people who will only attend one match a season usuall a league one so they dont know any songs.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Carra is spot on, the team have a duty to try and entertain us as the home fans which 99% of the time they do, we as fans have a duty to support the lads through thick and thin not expect us to win 5 nil every home game.
Slightly controversial but rather than blame the OOT's supporters or the casual fan for the poor atmosphere maybe it's the regular fan than takes his/her ticket for granted that doesn't get 'up' for a game because it's 'only' Fulham at home not a big league or Champions League gameThe King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Not sure you even need to know any songs. I took my missus to the toon game 18 months ago and she was the loudest person in the Centenary stand.
She shouted and applauded and generally supported the team, which no one much else did at all. They can't all have been day trippers.

i sense that people are really anxious. for the first time in over a generation we're competing BUT the cracks are still there for all to see.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostGiven the attendance was 45,362 I don't think that excuse is valid. not having a go at anyone but this is Rafa's 5th season and the fulham performance was a disgrace. also we're still not playing well enough consistently. we may be winning but winning badly. i know that the signs of a title winning team cliche and all that but as of yet we're not a title winning team.
i'm really looking forward to hopefully still being up there come the end of the xmas period, if rafa buys and sells the right players then i'm sure that the atmosphere will become electric as we address our shortcomings and fight it out at the top.
last time i remember a league atmosphere like that was during the evans era where we were in it till the last few games.
also individual players have always got more stick than some others, this isn't something new.

but there have been criticisms of the atmosphere for ages at Anfield. There does seem to be a bit of trend for the atmosphere to be great when its a big game/CL type fixture, but when it comes to "only" Fulham (add in your pref) atmosphere is quiet and the away fans really notice. I seem to recall the bloody gooners ( I think) last season singing "where's your famous atmosphere"
"Who's your Daddy now?"
LFC Champions one season someday

He'd just get slatedOriginally posted by Skillz View PostNeeded to be said unfortunately. We all need to rally and support the team all the way to May if we are to win the league.
Love the way the club get Carra to do the rallying calls, not sure anyone else has got the cred to get away with it.
Imagine Lucas coming out with this today
Really?

The people behind the RTK campaign must wonder what they have to do. The atmosphere at League games is to be honest a disgrace when compared to the days of yester-year.
But as I have said before, in those days we had a successfull, vibrant, attacking team. Enough to get any fan on their feet. Quite frankly, we had the best support because we had the best team.
In one off games the crowd have shown they are still the best around, and suprise, suprise, this sort of form and recored is mirrored by the team.
I must also add that there is nothing wrong with our away support, who always sing. But what is obvious is that more fans singing at home would help the team and could have a dramatic influence on whether or not we win/challenge for the title.
As I do not anticipate any change in the near future I just guess we'll have to cross our fingers.Forwards.......
