    F*ck the media.
Well he did kind of **** the media, Danielle Lloyd is a celebrity media whore.

His attitude has looked off the last few times he has played to me. Problem is Riera's performances have dropped off a little in the last few games, so if Babel had been showing great form and attitude I think he might even have sneaked in ahead of him.

January will be interesting to see what happens to a number of our fringe players.

babel has a lot to do. first thing being to play well when he gets his chance.

sure keane has been given a lot of games to settle but if he wasnt then people would be slating rafa for not playing keane.

when babel gets a chance, he has to stake a claim for a first 11 spot if thats what he wants.

if he comes on and his performance basically says he is either not good enough or not arsed then whats the manager to do?

actions speak louder than words ryan. up your game.

So what is Babel's preferred position?

Get off his back, he isn't whinging in that article\ quote.

He is saying it's frustrating being out but will fight for his place. What more do you lot want him to say. I agree he hasn't been as good as last season but he has not had much of a chance. He even agrees that the team should not be rotated at the moment.

But far be it from me to stop you lot having a go at someone who you have decided isn't good enough.

so what is it one rule for babel and another for keane?

babel needs a run of games, hopefully starting tonight. failing that if it continues the way it is now we'll have ruined the career of another young attacking prospect at liverpool.

                Agreed

Not only do we go and spend £11m on a raw talent, we bring him into a new league, into a formation he's not used to and play him out of his preferred position

In summary, we've got a young player, in a new league and then decide to play him out of position and hope that he'll turn into a world beating winger.

Personally I just don't get his treatment and why he was bought.

yup totally agree with you, he has said he will work hard to get his place back. Like any player worth his salt he wants to play and seems to have simply answered this question. He's a young lad with a lot of potential and its good to see he is willing to fight for a starting place rather than either accpet the money and do **** all (like pennant) or whinge and want a move.

You've kind of answered your answer your own question there.

I'd love to see him played up front with Torres where he belongs.

not one rule for one and not another but i believe all new signings need to be played. perhaps babel should have played more last season but keane was bought as a first teamer and has to be played at the start. babel was always bought with a view that he wouldnt be an automatic starter.

i do agree that why would we buy him for 11 mill? paco said it was a panic buy didnt he. i see some logic in that and the reality is that he hasnt played enough to either develop or to justify the price tag. i personally have only seen glimpses of his obvious talent but like say garcia, he's often a negative for the team in that he doesnt really beat his man and his ball control and passing are generally pretty poor. i feel sorry for him as much as im annoyed at his performances tho.

in terms of actions speaking louder than words, i think that applies to both equally - in fact all of the squad. keane hasnt said much i dont think but needs to sort it on the pitch to keep his place for sure. if he was in the press complaining about being substituted then i'd want him to shut it. just the way it is surely? I hate hearing frustrations aired in public. regardless of the caveats that say 'but im staying and determined to fight for my place.' if its really business as usual, why is he talking to the press about it?

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
